Today, February 15, the Belarusian National Technical University held an Open Opportunities Day (OOD). The eventful program included the work of stands of enterprises - recruiters, faculties and the admissions committee, excursions around the university, photo sessions, games, master classes, career guidance zones and much more. But first things first.

From the very morning, applicants and their parents filled BNTU with interested glances and a desire to get to know the enterprises - those who hire personnel and the Polytechnic University closer.

The main site of the OOD was the educational building No. 8, where the opening ceremony of the event took place.
First Vice-Rector Andrey Safonov addressed those present with a welcoming speech.
- Dear friends, I am glad to welcome you to a large-scale and important event, which we called "Open Opportunities Day". I would like to immediately emphasize that its format is the close integration of education and production. I am deeply convinced that thanks to full understanding of their future profession, their future specialty, the most motivated, most prepared applicants will come to BNTU.

In addition, at the ceremony, the people's Violin band and the “Druzhba” Dance group of the BNTU Department of Culture presented their musical and dance performances to the participants of the OOD.

Then the applicants began to actively get acquainted with the stands. In total, 52 interactive enterprise platforms were organized for the children. Volunteers told the guests about the opportunities provided by the organizations, as well as about internships, practices and employment prospects.

In addition, applicants could learn in detail about the faculties and specialties of BNTU. University representatives shared their educational experience and interesting facts about student life with the visitors. At the same time, future students could receive advice on admission issues and take tests to determine their professional interests and abilities.

The BNTU Media Center prepared a raffle for applicants of the university's branded merchandise. Participants took an online quiz and got points, and those who scored the most points became the winners. After the results were announced on the BNTU Instagram-account, the lucky ones were able to get their winnings.

The guys emotionally shared their impressions. Thus, Egor plans to enter BNTU, but the young man is still deciding which faculty to choose.
- Today I visited BNTU for the first time and have already managed to get acquainted with many stands and sites. As for the future place of study, at this stage I am choosing between the Energy Faculty and the Energy construction Faculty.

Anna also visited the university for the first time. She is considering the specialties of the Faculty of Management Technologies and Humanitarianization.
- Holding a Day of Open Opportunities is important for the guys who will try to enter the university this year. This is a chance to learn more about the university and their future profession.

Arseniy also wants to connect his life with BNTU: "I am very interested in entering the Faculty of Information Technologies and Robotics. I believe that having both the skills of an engineer and a programmer is very promising."

During the break between activities, the guys caught their breath near the “field kitchen”. The organizers treated the guests to delicious dishes and aromatic tea.
Then the participants of the Open Opportunities Day discussed current issues of admission at the seminar "Targeted Training". Andrey Safonov and the responsible secretary of the BNTU Admissions Committee Svetlana Gribkova presented information about the features of admission to BNTU and the advantages of targeted training to representatives of organizations who hire personnel, applicants and their parents.
In turn, those present asked questions about the process of submitting documents, enrollment deadlines and conditions for targeted training.

Thus, the Day of Open Opportunities became a platform for active exchange of information between applicants, university representatives and employers. We are looking forward to seeing the guys within the walls of the Polytechnic University as students!
