The current trend in the development of higher education in the Republic of Belarus is the practical orientation of professional training of students. In this regard, the higher educational institutions of the country are constantly updating and replenishing the educational and laboratory bases of educational institutions. So, today, on September 2, the grand opening of the Center for Technical Hydromechanics and Hydraulic Machines at the Department of Hydraulic Engineering and Energy Construction, Water Transport and Hydraulics of the Faculty of Energy Construction took place in the main building of the Belarusian National Technical University.
For reference: The Center for Technical Hydromechanics and Hydraulic Machines is a scientific project implemented with the financial support of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus. Unique equipment has been installed here, educational and laboratory modules have been designed for research and development work of students, undergraduates, postgraduates and teachers.

At the beginning of the event, the rector of BNTU Sergey Kharytonchyk, addressed the audience. He noted that the stands created at the center allow us to take a fresh look at many processes related to hydromechanics and develop fresh approaches to the further design of new machines and devices.
Sergey Vasilyevich stressed that the integrated use of modern laboratories with the latest equipment provides young scientists, graduate students, undergraduates and students with the opportunity to improve their specialized knowledge and further conduct better scientific research.

The opening ceremony of the center was also attended by honored guests: Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Karankevich, First Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Bakhanovich and rector of the parish of the Church of St. Prince Alexander Nevsky in Minsk, Candidate of theology, Archpriest Nikolai Korzhich.


Further, Igor Kachanov, Head of the Department of Hydraulic Engineering and Energy Construction, Water Transport and Hydraulics, noted that the equipment installed at the Center for Technical Hydromechanics and Hydraulic Machines meets the requirements of not only today, but also tomorrow. As Igor Vladimirovich stressed, the good equipment of the center will make it possible to provide a high-quality educational process and train competent, highly qualified specialists in the relevant specialties.

After substantial speeches by representatives of the BNTU and honored guests of the event, it was time to give an official start to the work of the center. Cutting of the red ribbon became a symbol of the opening of new educational and scientific laboratories.


A tour of the new laboratory facilities was held for those present, during which Igor Kachanov said that within the framework of the center's work, the university plans to negotiate cooperation agreements with leading design and scientific research organizations of Belarus and the Union State.. This will expand the range of opportunities for students and employees of BNTU.
