The repository of the Belarusian National Technical University has improved its position in the world rating of repositories Transparent Ranking of Repositories from the 17th edition of the rating for August 2024.
In the general list (All repositories), which includes 4628 repositories, electronic archives, electronic libraries, the BNTU repository rose to 27th place. In the list of Institutional repositories, it ranks 17th among 4,483 other resources.
The Transparent Ranking of Repositories, as well as the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, is an initiative of the Cybermetrics Lab research group. Its methodology is based on the number of documents posted in open access repositories and indexed by Google Scholar. Thus, the degree of openness of academic resources and their integration into the information space is assessed.
BNTU repository has been generated since 2012. Currently, it includes more than 124,896 documents: monographs, methodological manuals, electronic educational and methodological complexes, textbooks and teaching aids, scientific articles, research reports, thesis abstracts, dissertations, theses, patents, conference materials, graphic works, competitive projects and others.
Once again, we would like to remind you that the higher the repository's position in the rating, the greater the gap in performance becomes compared to higher positions. It is only through the cooperation of all structural divisions of the university that it is possible to achieve growth and subsequently maintain such a high position.
In this regard, we urge structural units (from departments and faculties to directorates and institutes) to analyze the documents available in the repository and transfer missing and new documents to our repository (these can be graphic works, competition and exhibition projects, data, etc.).
