The delegation of BNTU visited universities of Uzbekistan

This week representatives of the Belarusian National Technical University and its rector Sergei Kharytonchyk are on a working visit in Uzbekistan. The delegation included Pavel Shirvel, Dean of the  International Cooperation Faculty and Nina Kusmerskaya-Myalik, director of the sanatorium-dispensary of BNTU “Polytechnic”.

Yesterday representatives of BNTU visited the Ferghana Polytechnical Institute (FerPI), where they became acquainted with the material and technical base of the educational institution. During the visit, Sergey Vasilyevich took part in the scientific council of FerPI and made a report dedicated to the developing areas of cooperation.

Today, August 8, a meeting was held with the leadership of the Andijon Engineering Institute(AndMI). During the negotiations, representatives of educational institutions discussed the following issues:

•  opening of new joint educational programs;
• conducting joint scientific, educational, sports and cultural events;
• exchange of students within the framework of academic mobility;
• the possibility of teaching BNTU students in AndMI;
• organizing and conducting internships for the teaching staff on a mutual base;
• conducting a summer/winter school for AndMI students on the basis of BNTU;
• postgraduate studies at BNTU in accordance with the base of BNTU scientists, directions and research topics.

The agreed initiatives will be implemented soon.

We thank the administration of the Fergana Polytechnical and Andijon Engineering Institutes for the hospitable reception and express hope for fruitful cooperation.
