The first digital tournament is being held at BNTU

Первый фиджитал-турнир проходит в БНТУ

On Tuesday, July 16, 2024, the first digital tournament was held at the Belarusian National Technical University . At the “MetaArena” esports venue, the participants of the event competed in CS2 playing skills.

For reference: digital is a sport that combines competitions in two formats: digital and physical. Participants meet on real and virtual playing fields, competing not only in agility and flexibility, but also in strategic thinking and working with the game player.

The tournament was attended by a team of students from China, TEAM BIKIBO, as well as a team from the Faculty of Information Technology and Robotics,DFG.

All participants fully demonstrated their skills and tactical thinking, however, the DFG team won the first esports stage. This was a bright start to the digital tournament, which showed how virtual and real sports can complement each other.

– Digital competitions combine traditional sports and modern technologies, therefore they attract a wider audience. This is very important, because it helps to overcome barriers between people, bringing together participants with different interests and physical fitness levels, – said the organizer of the event, Deputy Secretary of the BRSM FITR Daniil Kozlovsky.

The next stage of the tournament will be held at the end of July – the teams will meet at the airsoft competitions. The winner will be determined by the sum of the points scored for all the competition stages. Follow the BRSM FITR news to stay up to date and support your favorites.
