BNTU summed up the results of the review competition for the best university department for the 2022/23 academic year

On Monday, February 19, a meeting of employees was held in the Hall of Fame of the Belarusian National Technical University, at which the results of the review competition for the best university department for the 2022/23 academic year were summed up. The event was held with the support of the primary trade union organization of BNTU workers.

For reference: 16 faculties, 2 institutes of advanced training and retraining, 9 colleges, 67 graduate departments, 26 university-wide departments, 12 student dormitories, 18 buildings participated in the review competition. The results of the review competition were summed up from September 2023 to February 2024.

The event was attended by the rector of BNTU Sergey Kharytonchyk, the Vice-rector for Academic Affairs of BNTU Oleg Gusev, the Chairman of the primary trade union organization of BNTU workers Irina Vakhtina, the head of the HR Department Oleg Kunevich, as well as representatives of dean's offices and departments of faculties of the university.

Analytical work was carried out in such areas as the training of students, scientific and pedagogical staff, scientific, methodological, research and innovative activities. Ideological, cultural and educational work was also evaluated. 

As a result, the outcomes of the review competition were as follows:

among the faculties:

• first place – Faculty of Instrumentation;
• second place – Faculty of Mechanical Engineering;
• third place – The faculty of Marketing, Management, Entrepreneurship;

among the institutes of the BNTU:

• first place – the Interdisciplinary Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel in Management and Personnel Development of BNTU;
• second place – the Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel;

among the graduating departments:

• first place – "Machinery and foundry technology" (Faculty of Mechanics and Technology);
• second place – "Laser Technique and Technology" (Faculty of Instrumentaton);
• third place – "Engineering Technology " (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering);

among the university–wide departments:

• first place – "Theoretical Mechanics and Mechanics of Materials" (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering);
• second place – "Psychology" (Engineering Pedagogical Faculty);
• third place – " Mechanical Engineering and Machine Parts" (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering); 

among the colleges affiliated to BNTU:

• first place – Minsk State Technological College and Minsk State College of Architecture and Civil Engineering;
• second place – Barysau State Polytechnic College;
• third place – Zhodino State Polytechnic College;

among the BNTU dormitories:

• the first place is dormitory No. 9;
• the second place is dormitory No. 16;
• third place – dormitory No. 8;

among the buildings:

• first place – building No. 1;
• second place – building No. 6;
• third place – building No. 18;

special nominations among the departments:

• "The best Faculty for ideological and educational work in the 2022/23 academic year" and "The best Faculty for Cultural and Mass Work in the 2022/23 academic year" - Faculty of Management Technologies and Humanitarization;
• "The best faculty of physical culture, sports and wellness work in the 2022/23 academic year" – Sports and Technical Faculty;
• "The best Humanitarian Department in the 2022/23 academic year" – Department of Psychology (Engineering Pedagogical Faculty);

In a solemn atmosphere, the winners in the nominations were awarded diplomas, sweet gifts and certificates for the right of priority execution of an application for the repair of one fixed room.
