Continuing the section “BNTU is a choice of the best,” we get to know Alexandra Smal, a student at the Faculty of Marketing, Management, and Entrepreneurship.
Initially, Alexandra planned to enroll in the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, but a wide range of specialties of the Belarusian National Technical University attracted her more. That is why the girl submitted documents to the Polytechnic University.
– I have heard about BNTU many times from my friends, but I learned about the Faculty of Marketing, management, and entrepreneurship almost at the end of the admission campaign. I really liked the specialty "Engineering economics. Design project management at an industrial enterprise". I thought why not try to learn the basics of design and economics at the same time. Now I understand that it was the best decision.
Sasha speaks positively about the educational process at the faculty. Comfortable classrooms, exciting classes and interesting events make her very happy. The girl has already managed to get to know many people close to her in spirit.
Among other things, Alexandra is actively engaged in creativity: since elementary school she has been singing and playing the guitar. Upon entering the BNTU, the girl immediately found a use for her talents.
– I decided that I would show my creative abilities at the university before I enrolled. Even at school, I realized how many emotions, acquaintances, skills and opportunities this can give. At the open day of the BNTU Department of Cultural Affairs, I learned about the creative teams that perform at university events, after which I decided to take part in the casting and become part of several of them at once.
– Please tell us which bands you were accepted into and how the casting took place?
– After getting to know the bands, I decided to try to qualify for the Folk Brass Band and the vocal and pop studio "Soul in Love". For quite a long time I played in an orchestra in my hometown, so I demonstrated my musical skills at the first joint rehearsal. For the casting in the vocal and pop studio, in turn, it was necessary to prepare a song. I was a little worried, because during the preparation for the CE, which took me 2 years, I did not study vocals with a teacher. However, as a result, everything worked out, and I became the studio’s soloist.
For the first time on the stage of BNTU, Alexandra performed as part of the vocal and pop studio “Soul in Love”. The event was dedicated to Family Week. Despite a little nervousness, Sasha performed, it seems to us, on par with more experienced vocalists.
In addition to participating in the activities of the orchestra and studio, the girl performs as part of the FMME dance group Sunrise. Sasha explains this variety of hobbies with curiosity and an active lifestyle.
Finally, the student stressed that BNTU is a place where you can develop your strengths, gain experience in various spheres of life and become a truly talented and educated person.
