Today, on January 11, the Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Ivanets visited the Lyceum of the BNTU.
The guest of honor was greeted by the rector of BNTU Sergei Kharytonchyk, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Oleg Gusev, Vice-rector for Educational Work Timur Matiushinets, director of the Lyceum Galina Golyash and Deputy Director for Educational Work Ekaterina Shavanova.
During the visit, Andrei Ivanets got acquainted with the material and technical base and scientific potential of the educational institution. During the excursion, Galina Oksana presented information about the preparation and results of the contest activities, the nutrition system. After listening carefully, the minister suggested several ways to optimize and improve the activities of the BNTU Lyceum.
The program of visit also included a meeting with the teaching staff. Andrei Ivanets recommended that employees pay attention to the civic and patriotic education of students, organize work to attract children from different regions of Belarus.
– The BNTU Lyceum should be well-known throughout the country.It is necessary to attract children from all regions of the country, not only from Minsk and the Minsk region. Our goal is to ensure that our work is organized in such way that in the "Year of Quality" we make significant progress in improving the quality of education.
During a meeting with the student assets of the lyceum, the secretaries of the "BRSM" faculties, chairmen of the primary trade union organization of faculty students, representatives of the Student Council and the Council of young scientists of BNTU Andrey Ivanets discussed topical issues related to the youth initiative, the work of young scientists, and the popularization of scientific activities among students.
In addition, the topic of the upcoming election campaign and the single day of voting was touched upon. The head of the Ministry of Education stressed that the duty of every adult, including students, is to participate in the political life of the state. The students expressed great interest in the issues under discussion, and the communication turned out to be lively and exciting.
At the end of the meeting, Andrei Ivanets presented the book "Education in Belarus. Origins, history, modernity", also wished the BNTU students and lyceum students successful studies and the use of their knowledge with benefit. Those present, in turn, thanked the Minister for an informative and productive meeting.
