Belarusian National Technical University repository (BNTU) took the 2d position among Belarusian ones in the global ranking of repositories 'Transparent Ranking of Repositories' from February 2020. In the general list (All REPOSITORIES) of 3097 repositories, electronic archives, electronic libraries, BNTU repository is the 57th. In the list of institutional repositories (INSTITUTIONAL REPOSITORIES) - in 47th place among 2986 other resources.
Compared with January 2019 rating version, our repository climbed 7 positions in the global (All REPOSITORIES) and 9 positions in the institutional (INSTITUTIONAL REPOSITORIES) Transparent Ranking of Repositories lists.
If to consider the rating of repositories (both world and institutional) of post-Soviet countries, BNTU Repository is in fourth place after the BSU Electronic Library, the Electronic Archive of Sumy State University and the Ural Federal University Repository.
'Transparent Ranking of Repositories' rating, as well as the 'Webometrics Ranking of World Universities' rating, is an initiative of the Cybermetrics Lab research group. Its methodology is based on the number of documents hosted in open access repositories and indexed by Google Scholar. Thus, the degree of openness of academic resources and their integration into the information space is evaluated.
During the year, BNTU Repository added 13,000 Google Scholar indexed documents.
BNTU repository has been generated since 2012. Currently, it includes more than 56,665 different documents: magazines, guidelines and teaching aids, monographs, textbooks and teaching aids, articles, research reports, dissertations, dissertation abstracts, patents, conference materials created at BNTU. In 2019, the number of downloads from the repository amounted to 1,580,000.
