From October 28 to October 31, the VIII Forum of Universities of Engineering and Technology Profile of the Union State will be held at BNTU. The forum is the largest event in the field of engineering education in Russia and Belarus.
This year, the main theme of the Forum will be “Digital University”. 200 scientists and students from 100 universities and organizations from Belarus, Russia, Uzbekistan, Serbia, and the Czech Republic will discuss issues related to the development and digitalization of engineering education in Russia and Belarus, share their experience, and develop a joint program of action.
The Forum is organized by the Belarusian National Technical University and the Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University. R. E. Alekseeva with the support of the Standing Committee of the Union State, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
VIII Forum is 4 sections, including more than 12 seminars in various areas of development of science and technology of the Union State.

The concept of “Digital University” involves the discussion of issues such as modern Internet resources integrated into the educational process, online learning, the introduction of virtual reality technologies, a security infrastructure based on biometric identification of the person, modern systems of analytics and data visualization, which can be embedded in the education and life of universities.
A separate section of the forum is dedicated to youth entrepreneurship. Young people from Russia and Belarus will present their digital startups, which can be introduced at universities in the Union State. At the end of the Forum, the best youth start-up of the Union State will be determined.
Invited speakers were Dmitry Guzhel, advisor to the head of Rossotrudnichestvo, founder of the "Universarium" open e-learning system, and Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Polykhina, head of the Project 5-100 Project Office, which is involved in improving the global competitiveness of Russian universities.
The press approach will be held in 327 audiences of the main building of the BNTU on October 29 from 9:30 to 10:00. Media participation requires accreditation.
