A spiritual conversation with students was held at BNTU

Как найти точку опоры в бесконечной гонке? Студенты БНТУ пообщались со священником

Today, on September 11, a meeting of students with cleric Sergius Faley of the Holy Elisabeth Monastery took place at the Spiritual and Educational Center of the Belarusian National Technical University. The conversation was held in connection with a church holiday – the Feast of the Beheading of the Prophet, Forerunner, and Baptist of the Lord John.

Opening the meeting, Father Sergius spoke about the history and profound spiritual significance of this day. The story made us reflect on what it means for each of us to be true to our principles and how ready we are to uphold goodness in everyday life.

The priest also touched upon the topic of spiritual support as an important internal resource for overcoming life’s difficulties. In today’s world, which is full of stress and uncertainty, it is especially important to have a point of support that helps maintain emotional balance. The conversation touched on simple but meaningful things: the ability to take a break from the endless race of to‑do lists and to listen to oneself, to seek support in kind and sincere relationships with loved ones and friends, to notice small victories on the way to big goals, and not to undervalue one’s own efforts, no matter how modest they may seem.

The audience was particularly moved by the statement that spiritual life is not something detached from reality, but rather an everyday effort to improve oneself, which helps one become better, kinder, and wiser. Father Sergius emphasized that every person, regardless of age and life experience, can find their own path to spiritual growth.

At the end of the meeting, Priest Sergius Faley announced the continuation of the series of meetings at the spiritual and educational center and the dormitories of the Belarusian National Technical University. This will allow each student to ask their pressing questions and find answers to them.
