Today, July 15, the solemn opening of the second summer shift in the children's health camp "Polytechnic" took place. From the very morning the camp area was buzzing with the voices and laughter of children, charged for unforgettable days of summer in the camp.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Rector of BNTU Sergey Kharitonchik, the Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Work Timur Matyushinets, the Director of the BNTU Polytechnic Sanatorium-Preventive Clinic Nina Kusmerskaya-Myalik, as well as the Head of the Administration of the Soviet District of Minsk, Alexander Shchekovich, and the Head of the Department of Education of the Administration of the Soviet District of Minsk, Inessa Sobolenko. In their speeches, they wished the children an unforgettable vacation, loyal friends, and new victories.
The main characters of the day were the children and their mentors. The organizers have prepared a rich program that will keep the children entertained from intellectual quests to sports competitions and creative contests. Every child has already found an activity they enjoy.
The camp's special atmosphere is created by BNTU students, who traditionally work as counselors. Mikhail Koryakin, a student from the Faculty of Mining and Environmental Engineering, became the counselor of the first squad during this camp.
- The opening of the camp was truly spectacular! We rehearsed dances and chants for a very long time, prepared surprises, and when we saw the children's burning eyes, we realized that all our efforts were not in vain. The children were eagerly waiting for this event, and we did not let them down. Our plans are ambitious: immediately after the start, we will start preparing for the "Advertising of Belarusian Brands" competition. It will be amazing!
Mikhail also shared that being a counselor has been his long-cherished dream.
– As a child, I used to look at my camp counselors and envy their ability to make people feel good. Now it's my turn to create an atmosphere that kids will remember.
We wish the kids and counselors endless enthusiasm and a fun and productive time during the camp!
