International recognition: The National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan has elected new foreign members

Ректор БНТУ Сергей Харитончик был избран иностранным членом НАН Таджикистана

In the first half of 2026, by the decision of the General Assembly of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan (NANT), nine outstanding scientists and researchers from foreign countries were honored to become foreign members of the Academy.

 For your information: The National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan is the highest self-governing scientific institution of the Republic of Tajikistan. It unites 18 advanced institutes and manages fundamental research. from the unique study of the Pamir Mountains and hydropower to the preservation of the richest handwritten heritage of the East.

 The Rector of BNTU, Sergey Kharitonchik, was among the foreign members of the Academy. This election was a recognition of BNTU's significant contribution to the development of engineering science and the strengthening of international scientific ties and cooperation.

 In April 2026, the Agency for Chemical, Biological, Radiation, and Nuclear Safety of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan and the Belarusian National Technical University signed an agreement to establish a joint scientific laboratory.
