Today, July 1, the Belarusian National Technical University held a ceremony honoring the international graduates of the Class of 2026. Students from Uzbekistan, China, Tajikistan, Russia, as well as from as far afield as Africa and Latin America, received their diplomas.
The ceremony was attended by BNTU Vice-Rector for Research Ksenia Yakushenko, Dean of the Faculty of International Cooperation Pavel Shirvel, representatives of international partner universities, faculty leadership, department heads, and curators. All were happy to congratulate the graduates on their completion of their studies and offer them words of encouragement.
At the very beginning of the ceremony, Ksenia Yakushenko addressed the graduates with a welcoming speech. She congratulated the international students on their graduation on behalf of BNTU Rector Sergei Kharitonchik, noting their long and arduous journey:
"You are our pride because you are special and unique. We are grateful to you and your parents, who decided to bring you to Belarus. You have come a long and difficult way: adapting to a foreign country, finding new friends, and gaining knowledge in a foreign language. It was difficult, but you overcame it. I wish you and your families good health, that your country will be proud of you, and that the Republic of Belarus and BNTU will be proud of you. May the knowledge you gain here become the foundation for worthy work for the benefit of your countries and be in demand around the world. Wishing you a safe journey and new achievements!"
Then the Vice Rector for Research honored those who demonstrated outstanding academic performance from their first year to their thesis defense. Among those receiving diplomas with honors were Daria Degtyarenok, a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture (Russian Federation); Nikita Krupitsa, a graduate of the Faculty of Marketing, Management, and Entrepreneurship (Uzbekistan); Yan Wenrui, a graduate of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (China); Davron Boboev, a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture (Tajikistan); and master's students at the Faculty of Architecture, Sayidzhon Zhuraev and Tamila Trubitsina (Uzbekistan).
Diplomas of graduation were also awarded to graduates who studied in joint programs with Karakalpak State University, Tashkent State Technical University, Hefei University of Technology, Shenyang Technological University, Tashkent University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, and other partner universities from Uzbekistan, China, and Tajikistan. Most of the graduates received commemorative letters of thanks from the university's leadership as a welcome addition to their diplomas.
A key moment at the ceremony was the announcement of letters of gratitude from international partners to BNTU staff, highlighting the significance of their contribution to the development of educational and scientific ties. Ibrat Ismailov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at Karshi State University, expressed gratitude on behalf of his university to BNTU Rector Sergey Kharitonchik for his contribution to the development of cooperation. Alimjon Riskulov, Dean of the Faculty of International Educational Programs at BNTU and Tashkent State Transport University, also expressed gratitude to Sergey Kharitonchik on behalf of TSTU Rector Abdulaziz Gulamov. BNTU staff involved in the implementation of joint educational programs were also recognized with letters of gratitude from the TSTU Rector.
The festive atmosphere was enhanced by musical performances from Nadezhda Kobyak, an international student and soloist of the "Loving Soul" vocal and pop studio.
BNTU wishes its international graduates successful application of their acquired knowledge and fond memories of their years at the university. May a BNTU diploma become a solid foundation for new achievements anywhere in the world.
