The Republican holiday of graduates of higher education institutions is taking place in Minsk

В Минске проходит республиканский праздник выпускников учреждений высшего образования

Today, on June 27, the Republican holiday of graduates of higher education institutions is taking place in Minsk. The event has brought together more than 3,000 graduates, the best representatives of the student youth who have achieved outstanding results in their studies, research, and social activities. Among the guests are 200 graduates of the Belarusian National Technical University, who have proven themselves to be active and initiative students during their years of study.

The event is attended by the Rector of the Belarusian National Technical University, Sergey Kharitonchik, the Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Work, Timur Matyushinets, representatives of the Center for Ideological Work and Youth Affairs, as well as the Deans of the Faculties.

The main venue of the event offers a rich festive program, including a DJ performance, dance activities, and themed photo zones. The participants, dressed up and happy, join in every activity and sing along to familiar songs. The highlight of the evening will be the performance by the headliner, which everyone is looking forward to.

Among the participants is Alexander Malashko, a graduate of the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics, and Informatics, who has made a significant impact on the university's life during his time there. Malashko has led the student council of BNTU, organized events, and won awards in patriotic competitions. His name has been included in the BNTU Hall of Fame. Under his leadership, the student council became the best in the country in 2025. A special place in the list of awards is occupied by the Gratitude of the President of the Republic of Belarus. At the end of the study, a diploma with honors, the sign "Excellent student of BNTU", an Honorary Certificate and an invitation to the national holiday of graduates.

— I experience the most vivid and solemn emotions, but at the same time it is sad, because the main stage is coming to an end - student life. This is a time when we are not burdened with problems and can study, create, do what we love. But there is an unknown future ahead of us, and we are opening a new chapter. I hope that each of us will do well, and we will find the niche we want to occupy. It is a great honor for me to participate in the national graduation celebration. Not everyone gets to participate, but only the best from across the country. It is a chance to meet old friends, discuss our plans, and have fun in a formal yet informal setting. I believe that this will be a memorable end to our student years. I want to wish the graduates not to stop at what they have achieved, to continue learning, because knowledge is never superfluous, and to love what they do. The most valuable experience I have gained at BNTU is, of course, the knowledge that has made me a professional. But the most important thing is the friends, acquaintances, and skills of interaction with active people. BNTU has given me the opportunity to realize myself in all areas: studies, social activities, sports, and culture. I am grateful to the university for always supporting students and giving them opportunities to find themselves in their future lives. I wish BNTU prosperity and the preservation of those opportunities that allow students to become champions, scientists, and just happy people!

The host, soloist, author of poems, "BNTU Student of the Year 2023", and graduate of the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics, and Physics, Arina Kolesova, also participated in the national graduation ceremony. With numerous awards behind her, she has a promising career ahead thanks to her BNTU diploma.

"I am deeply grateful to the university for providing me with the foundation that allows me to feel confident even in my full-time job. I feel a bit nostalgic and sad, but the anticipation, excitement, and enthusiasm are the main things I feel today. Participating in the national graduation celebration is a sign that my efforts have not been in vain and have been noticed. It is important for each of us to feel that our passions are needed by someone. It is great that my interests have been appreciated. For me, the graduation ball is a beautiful final chapter of my student life. I would like to wish myself and my fellow students to live this moment to the fullest, to be here and now, and to appreciate every minute with the people I love. It is difficult to single out one particular experience that I gained at BNTU, as there were countless learning and inspiring situations. However, the most important skill I acquired was teamwork. I am grateful for the opportunity to work not alone, but with the people who surrounded me. Without them, many of my achievements would not have been possible, – said Arina.

Maxim Tsaruk, an International Grandmaster, two-time champion of Belarus in chess, silver and bronze medalist of the BRICS Sports Games, and champion of the 2024 World Championship in rapid and blitz chess among juniors and juniorettes under the age of 20, was also invited to the national graduation ceremony. Maxim has not only completed four years of university studies, but also has a wealth of experience. He started his education at the BNTU Lyceum and has now completed his studies in one of the most promising fields. Maxim shared his thoughts on the occasion:

— I am overwhelmed with emotions. An important stage of my life has come to an end. I feel joy and gratitude towards my teachers, classmates, and parents for the knowledge and support they have provided. It is a bit sad that the carefree student years will no longer be repeated, but I am confident that new heights and horizons await me, as there is much to explore. I am honored and proud to be among the graduates invited to the national celebration. I thank the university for recognizing my achievements and providing me with the opportunity to grow not only as a student but also as an athlete, activist, and individual. I wish all the graduates simple human happiness, health, fulfillment of desires and self-realization in the profession and in life. I am sure that our graduates will be able to make Belarus even more beautiful, more comfortable, richer!

We wish the participants to spend this evening brightly and memorably. Let this day remain in the memory as a worthy end of the student era and a solemn start into the professional life!
