Today, on June 26, the Best Graduates of 2026 were Honored at the Belarusian National Technical University. The assembly hall of the main building was filled with those who had proudly worn the title of Polytechnic student for several years. The event was also attended by representatives of the rectorate, teachers, and parents of the graduates.
The Rector of BNTU, Sergey Kharitonchik, addressed the graduates with a welcoming speech and words of encouragement.
— Good afternoon, dear graduates! Let me start with a joke that we traditionally announce on this day. The order for your dismissal has been signed. It is clear that it is signed on a good occasion, since you are being expelled due to the completion of your studies at the university. I would like to ask a question. How bitter and joyful are these words? Perhaps everyone has their own reasons to be happy or sad. It is sad that you are parting with your team, as you have become close over the years of your studies, and it is difficult to imagine your lives without each other. However, from our perspective, there are also joyful moments, as we see you as accomplished professionals. If you remember yourself, what you were and what you have become, you are two completely different people. Today, you are confident individuals who are ready to take on their jobs and are responsible for their professional activities. It is a source of joy that the entire university staff has invested their efforts in you, and you have seen the results of their work. It is also a source of joy that you are willing to work. Our country needs fresh, young talent like yours. This life that you are starting is very interesting, because it is a period of formation and growth. All of you will have a successful career ahead of you. I wouldn't be surprised if one of you becomes a minister in 20 years. You have the strength, so let the knowledge we have given you help you. The graduates were congratulated by the soloists of the vocal and pop studio "Loved Soul", members of the creative association "Harmony", and other groups of the Department of Culture of the BNTU. The performance of Arina Kolesova, a graduate of the Faculty of Marketing, Management, and Entrepreneurship, was particularly valuable. Given that Arina was a regular host and vocalist at concerts throughout her entire studies, her performance at the graduation ceremony symbolized the end of a long-standing stage tradition.
On behalf of all the 2026 graduates, Alexander Malashko, a graduate of the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics, and Informatics, expressed his gratitude to the faculty and his alma mater. He wished each of the graduates to carry the title of BNTU graduate with pride and to reach new professional heights.
Other graduates also expressed their gratitude during the evening. Pavel Loiko, a graduate of the Faculty of Economics and Management, expressed his gratitude to the university administration and the dean's office for transforming his studies into a space of opportunities. He emphasized that every event and initiative found support and encouragement, enabling him to progress and achieve success.
The evening concluded with a celebratory reception in honor of the graduates. Guests enjoyed a vibrant concert program and socializing with each other.
Young people have a bright professional future ahead of them, and the knowledge they gain at their alma mater will serve as a solid foundation for their future achievements.
