BNTU Scientific Library Employee Wins Prize in the “A Moment of My Life” Photo Contest

On June 1, 2026, the Belarusian National Technical University hosted the grand opening of the renewed exhibition featuring the best works from the annual “A Moment of My Life” photography contest, along with an awards ceremony for the winners.

This year, 74 students and staff members of BNTU participated in the competition, submitting 349 photographs in six categories: Landscape, Portrait, Perspective, Series, Urban Environment and Architecture, and Woman – the Soul of the Nation.

The BNTU Scientific Library was represented by employees of the Marketing and Project Activities Department: Head of Department Elizaveta Dmitrievna Kanashevich, Natalia Igorevna Volkova, Anastasia Vladimirovna Filipenko, and Renata Alekseevna Grishkevich.

According to the jury’s decision, Elizaveta Dmitrievna Kanashevich, Head of the Marketing and Project Activities Department of the BNTU Scientific Library, won Third Prize in the Urban Environment and Architecture category for her photograph “Too Good Weather to Study.”

Scientific and Practical Seminar on the Antiplagiarism System Held at BNTU

On June 4, 2026, the Belarusian National Technical University hosted the scientific and practical seminar “The Antiplagiarism System as a Tool for Evaluating the Originality of Academic Papers: An Expert Approach.”

The event brought together master’s students, doctoral candidates, faculty members, researchers, editors of academic journals, and everyone involved in the preparation and evaluation of scientific texts.

The seminar was presented by Irina Borisovna Strelkova, the official training representative of the Antiplagiarism company in Belarus, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, and Associate Professor of the Department of Vocational Education Technologies at the Republican Institute of Vocational Education.

The seminar addressed issues of academic ethics, proper use of borrowed materials in scholarly works, methods for identifying citations and self-citations, and the latest capabilities of the Antiplagiarism system. Participants became acquainted with new platform tools, including the AI Content Detection Module, Duplicate Detector, Professional Vocabulary Module, and updated mechanisms for analyzing tables, bibliographies, and graphical materials.

Until December 31, 2026, BNTU faculty members and students have access to the collections of the electronic library system of the Fine High Technologies Publishing House, which includes educational and scientific literature.

This year marks 85 years since tragedy came to our land. The memory of the suffering and tears of those years remains alive, as does gratitude to those who defended the freedom and independence of their homeland at the cost of their own lives.

The presented publications are a chronicle of courage and despair, mistakes and heroism, losses and an unbreakable will to achieve Victory. The first months of the war became a severe test for both the army and the people — the time of the defense of the Brest Fortress, the Battle of Smolensk, and the Battle of Moscow.
