WWII Knowledge Quiz Held in Dormitory No. 8

Квиз на знание Великой Отечественной войны прошел в общежитии № 8

Last week, on May 12, a thematic quiz dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War took place within the walls of Dormitory No. 8 of the Instrument-Making Faculty. The participants gathered not only to compete but also to test the depth of their historical knowledge, recall key moments of those tragic and heroic years, and most importantly — to honor the memory of the fallen heroes.

The organizers strived to make the program as diverse and demanding as possible.

The participants guessed after which liberation heroes and military commanders the streets of Belarusian cities were named. The future engineers easily identified Soviet and modern Russian-Belarusian war films based solely on a single freeze-frame. The most spectacular round required naming significant historical dates or events based on reproductions of famous paintings and wartime posters.

The event was organized at a high level thanks to the support of the BRSM (Belarusian Republican Youth Union) activists from the faculty and the Student Council of the dormitory. The competent jury, which had to resolve any contentious issues and certify the results, included Artemy Kravchuk, Secretary of the BRSM Primary Organization of the Instrument-Making Faculty, and Darya Yaroshevich, head of the cultural and entertainment section of Dormitory No. 8.

The intense competition ended with the scoring. The places were distributed as follows:

● 1st place — Team "Mopsiki" (Pugs)
● 2nd place — Team "PSF Remembers" (PSF stands for Instrument-Making Faculty)
● 3rd place — Team "Vipers"

All players demonstrated a commendable level of erudition, and the winners received well-deserved diplomas and commemorative prizes. The event proved once again: the memory of the Great Patriotic War lives on, and the current generation of students knows, honors, and remembers the feat of their ancestors.
