BNTU discussed discipline, academic performance and tasks for the five-year plan: the results of the seminar with the heads of departments

В БНТУ обсудили подготовку студентов, дисциплину и задачи на пятилетку: итоги семинара с заведующими кафедрами

On April 7, a seminar with heads of departments was held in the assembly hall of the main building of the Belarusian National Technical University. The participants heard 4 reports on key areas of the university's activities.

The first issue on the agenda was devoted to the analysis of the implementation of the decisions of the previous seminar, which was held on October 31, 2025 (Protocol No. 3). The report was made by Assistant Rector Natalia Kunovskaya, who analyzed in detail which assignments have already been completed and which require additional attention from departments.

The second report was read by the vice-rector for Ideological and educational Work Timur Matyushinets. Timur Vladimirovich presented information on how the training of students in working professions is organized, noting that BNTU has already gained some experience in strengthening the practical orientation of student training.

The reports of Igor Luschik, Head of the Security Service, and Oleg Kunevich, Head of the HR Department, were also heard. They highlighted issues related to the experience of monitoring the executive discipline of employees using the Access control and management System (ACS). The speakers reminded of the importance of observing the access control and security on the university grounds.

In accordance with Directive No. 1 of the President of the Republic of Belarus, BNTU is constantly monitoring labor discipline events. Also, on behalf of the Minister of Education, it is the work schedule of employees of higher education institutions that is being monitored. Information on the results of the check of leaving and coming to work in March 2026 was transferred to the deans of the faculties to take measures to prevent violations, Oleg Viktorovich noted.

The final report was presented by Ksenia Yakushenko, Vice Rector for Research. Ksenia Valentinovna outlined the tasks that BNTU departments face in the context of the Program of Socio-economic Development of the Republic of Belarus for 2026-2030. She paid special attention to the synchronization of university science and personnel training with state priorities. The vice-rector also emphasized the involvement of students in scientific activities and the creation of joint laboratories with foreign partners.

In order to develop international cooperation and export in the field of science, the Technopark should interact with both heads of departments and deans of faculties. To enhance the image of the Belarusian National Technical University, the deans of the faculties were tasked with creating joint laboratories with foreign university partners. This work continues with the aim of expanding the network and opening new laboratories.

At the end of the seminar, the heads of departments received recommendations and instructions on each of the issues discussed. The next workshop is scheduled for the second quarter of 2026.
