Along the Roads of the Union State: How Dormitory No. 16 Celebrated Unity Day of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia

«Дорогами Союзного государства»: как в общежитии №16 отметили День единения народов Беларуси и России

On April 2, Dormitory No. 16 hosted a polyquest dedicated to National Unity Day! This holiday symbolizes centuries-old friendship, shared destiny, and the spiritual kinship of two fraternal peoples. This year, the student body of Dormitory No. 16 decided to celebrate this day in a special way: vibrant, dynamic, and educational.

For reference: The foundation for the unity of the peoples of the two countries was laid almost 25 years ago in a key document for allied relations—the Treaty on the Establishment of the Union State of December 8, 1999. In accordance with this fundamental document, the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation pursue a coordinated social policy aimed at combining efforts in the interests of social progress and creating the necessary conditions for a dignified life for citizens.

Students from the BNTU Faculty of Engineering and Pedagogy swapped their usual evenings in their rooms for an exciting adventure—a themed polyquest entitled "Along the Roads of the Union State!"

The event transformed the dormitory grounds into an interactive map, with each stage dedicated to important milestones in our shared history, the richness of our cultures, and the unique traditions of our countries. Divided into teams, the students set off on a journey through improvised stations. To reach the finish line first, the students had to demonstrate not only an excellent knowledge of the history and culture of Belarus and Russia, but also a genuine sense of ingenuity.

"As we raced to the first station, only one thought was in our heads: 'We definitely know this better than anyone!'" shared one first-year student. "The most challenging, yet most rewarding, task was the one about knowledge of regional cultural characteristics. It turns out we have much more in common than we thought!"

At each stage, the children faced challenging tasks, but team spirit and a desire to win helped them overcome all obstacles. Team spirit was literally in the air. The students encouraged each other with shouts, debated difficult questions, and genuinely rejoiced at every milestone they reached.

"I really liked how the quest forced us to work as a team," said a member of one of the teams. "The teams were made up of children from different groups, but here we became one!"

Our journey along the roads of the Union State continues, and many more shared victories and memorable events lie ahead!

Happy holiday, friends! Happy Unity Day of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia!
