Today, on March 19, the final round of the national youth project "100 ideas for Belarus" was held at the National Children's Technology Park. BNTU representatives were among the winners of the competition.

The expert commission has summarized the results of the 2025 year. The main intrigue of the day is the determination of 30 winning projects in 10 categories. According to the results of the Ministerial stage, 8 projects from the Belarusian National Technical University were selected for the final competition. In the category "Power Engineering (including Nuclear Power Engineering) and Energy Efficiency", BNTU was represented by:

  •  Dmitry Braim, a postgraduate student from the Faculty of Power Engineering, with the project "Full-Pressure Water Intake for a Waterjet Propulsion System with Reduced Hydraulic Resistance";
  • Yaroslav Starostenkov, a student from the Faculty of Power Engineering, with the project "Wind-Solar Power Plant";
  • Students of the Faculty of Energy: Stanislav Zinchuk, Nikita Makarenko, Yaroslav Suboch with the project "Introduction of Industrial Mining Farms to Optimize the Energy Balance of the Belarusian Energy System".

 In the category "Industrial and Construction Technologies":

  • Master's students and students of the Faculty of Automotive Engineering: Ilya Gornak, Pavel Faley, Valery Nevertovich with the project "Universal Electric Driving Unit for a Car";
  • Students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Technology Ekaterina Morskaya and Daniil Terlyakovich presented the project "Technology of Production of Special Alloys for Making Self-Fluxing Powders by Spraying."

 In the category "Society and Social Sphere," BNTU was represented by Ilya Yushkevich, a student of the Faculty of Marketing, Management, and Entrepreneurship, with the project "Echoes of the Past." In the category "Best Business Idea," Alexey Grigoriev and Bogdan Pogodin, students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, presented the project "GoPark."

The projects meet the most important criteria and are developed according to the priority areas of scientific, scientific-technical, and innovative activities in the Republic of Belarus.

 — It is very pleasant that the activity of our students is growing every year. On the eve of their project defenses, which will be held very soon, I would like to wish them success and for them to be talked about throughout the Republic, — said Evgeny Mikhasik, Head of the Department of Technology and Teaching Methods at BNTU.

In the "Industrial and Construction Technologies" category, the project "Universal Electric Driving Unit for a Car" was awarded to Ilya Gornak, Pavel Falei, and Valery Nevertovich, students from the Faculty of Automotive Engineering. The development, which can give a “second life” to cars by converting them to electric, won the jury’s hearts.

 In the “Best Business Idea” category, the “StudLab” educational kit project, authored by Sergey Prokhorovich, a senior lecturer at the Department of Robotics Systems at the Faculty of Information Technology and Robotics at BNTU, won the award.

 – We are very pleased that our hard work on the project has been recognized! The team is 100% satisfied. It’s hard to believe, but things are about to get even better. It is these results that motivate us to move forward and develop the project, – Ilya Gornak, an ATF graduate student, shared his impressions after the award ceremony.

We are proud of our developers and wish them not to stop there! We would like to thank all the participants for their worthy presentation of the university.
