Today, on March 19, the National Exhibition Center "BelExpo" hosted the award ceremony for the winners of the Republican competition "The Best Student Council - 2025".
According to the results of the competition, the best student council of 2025 was recognized as the student council of BNTU. The students were congratulated on their victory by Rector Sergey Kharitonchik, Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Work Timur Matyushinets, and Head of the Center for Ideological Work and Youth Affairs Irina Gud.
— The Student Council and all our youth associations are a very important element of youth self-government. In fact, these are the people who really make decisions. I understand that not everyone has enough life experience yet, and it can be difficult to communicate with their peers in terms of managing the process. Of course, this is the beginning of their future leadership and organizational activities. This is where it all starts. We have big plans and hopes for our students who work in the Student Council, because they are our backbone. We do not have events that we organize without the participation of the student council. Any promotions, open days – all events are teamwork. I am very pleased that there are talented and active young people who are ready to devote their time to making life at our university more beautiful and events brighter. What else is good for us: This is what they bring to us the voice of the entire student body. We hear this voice, we interact, we have difficult conversations, but these are business conversations. People here are tempering their character. Those who come to the first year learn from their example. It is important that the traditions continue for many years, not just one year, — Sergey Vasilyevich emphasized.
The rector also revealed the secret of the leadership of the representatives of the student council of BNTU.
— I think the secret is simple — engineers. That's the answer. They know how to build their lives, organize them, and turn any process into a system, and then everything works out. Yes, and the most important thing is to love what you do.
The guys themselves described their victory as expected. Their hard work and commitment to the public life of our country led to the Polytechnic students winning the main award of the competition.
— We submitted all the projects of the BNTU Student Council to the competition, including the main ones: Student Change, Best Student Group, BNTU Remembers, and Youth on the Main Issues. Our events are highly popular, and our student council and university are known beyond the city and even our country. The benefit of our student council for the country is that we support young people and their initiatives, promoting them further and higher, and we also connect the university administration with students. The BNTU Student Council is a team, strength and leadership," said Alexander Malashko, Chairman of the BNTU Student Council.
