The national team of BNTU won silver at the Republican Universiade – 2025/26 in men's basketball

From February 25 to 26, 2026, Minsk hosted the final stage of the Republican Student Basketball League of the 2025/26 season among men's teams. The final was attended by teams from the Belarusian National Technical University, the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture (BSUFC), and the Belarusian State Pedagogical University. Maxim Tank (BSPU), Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR).

According to the results of the final games, the places were distributed as follows:

• first place – Belarusian State University of Physical Culture;
• second place – Belarusian National Technical University;
• The third place is the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank;
• The fourth place went to the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radio Electronics.

The BNTU team was represented by students Ivan Terekhov (Faculty of Management Technologies and Humanitarization), Andrey Ozhgo (Faculty of Management Technologies and Humanitarization), Pavel Rabushko (Faculty of Management Technologies and Humanitarization), Alexey Shevchenko (Faculty of Marketing, Management, Entrepreneurship), Ivan Litarny (Faculty of Energy), Daniil Glukhov (Faculty of Energy), Arseniy Baklaga (Faculty of Instrument Engineering), Mikita Dashkevich (Faculty of Instrument Engineering), Timofey Beza (Faculty of Instrument Engineering), Artyom Zhuravsky (Faculty of Automotive Engineering), Andrey Beza (Faculty of Energy Engineering).

The team's coach is Irina Sevostyanova, a senior lecturer at the Department of Sports.

In addition, Alexey Shevchenko and Pavel Rabushko were among the symbolic top five players and were awarded special prizes on behalf of the BSE.
