Yesterday, November 5, 2025, for several hours, the assembly hall of Academic Building 11 became a hub of student talent, creativity, and thunderous applause. It was all down to ten bright and enthusiastic young people who had spent countless minutes, hours, and days preparing for this evening. However, only one of them was destined to become BNTU's 2025 Student of the Year.
The long-awaited finale of the competition began with a dance performance that set the audience in a festive mood. Active movements, spotlights, and music filled the hall with energy and inspiration.

Each of these bright students embodied the idea of versatility in their own way. With confident steps, smiles, and genuine emotions, each of their fashion shows was imbued with excitement, yet also confidence and pride in their department.
However, let's digress a bit from the finalists and introduce the competition jury, which yesterday faced the most difficult task – choosing the winner. The jury included:
The first stage – the “calling card” – was a true theatrical journey through the participants' inner worlds. Images and emotions shifted on the stage: the audience seemed to find themselves in a chess match, a mysterious cosmos, or a fairytale wonderland. Each finalist presented themselves through symbols, metaphors, and creative performances, demonstrating that the versatility of BNTU students knows no bounds, living in ideas, emotions, and the ability to surprise.
In the second, intellectual stage, the students shared their reflections on success and its essence, masterfully juggling quotes from greats, from Marina Tsvetaeva to Nelson Mandela. Their words captivated with sincerity and depth, forcing the audience to reflect and, perhaps, even feel a little admiration.
The competition then moved on to the most spectacular part – the creative stage. This challenge allowed each participant to reveal their personal facets of excellence through art. Choreographic acts were performed by Anastasia Egorchenkova, Maria Staroverova, Ksenia Kalachinskaya, Yana Smagina, Diana Razueva, and Kirill Kravtsov. Their dances were distinguished by a variety of moods and styles, reflecting the story and emotions of each performer.
However, Elizaveta Yanuta's performance included an element of surprise: during her dance, she picked up the violin and continued her acting, combining choreography with live musical performance.
Some participants chose words as a means of self-expression. For example, Daniil Terlyakovich recited Ryhor Borodulin's famous poem "We need to be home more often." Emilia Sazanchuk performed her original poem "What is War" and a thematic performance.
Anastasia Sinyavskaya lit up the hall with her vocal performance of "Time for New Victories." The song, accentuated by the dancers, created a unique, indescribable atmosphere in the hall, filled with positive emotions.
After the applause died down and the finalists disappeared backstage, a sense of excitement, even impatience, lingered in the hall. In other words, that elusive feeling when all has been said and all that remains is to wait.
The jury retired to its deliberations, and music once again filled the stage. The university's creative groups performed for the audience: the Faculty of Management Technologies and Humanitarian Studies presented a dance performance, and the cover band Myocard transformed the assembly hall into a massive dance floor.
The musical interlude was followed by soloists from the "Vlyublennaya Dusha" vocal and pop studio, whose performances truly highlighted the evening – touching, sincere, and inspiring.
While the stage was ablaze with lights, the audience was alive with emotion: the audience chanted the finalists' names, cheering them on even after their performances.
Finally, the anticipation was rewarded – the finalists appeared on stage with a spectacular fashion show. Women in exquisite dresses, men in elegant suits – each look highlighted the participants' individuality and style. The audience greeted their heroes with a standing ovation.
During the awards ceremony, the finalists were first presented with certificates of participation in the competition, a symbol of recognition for their talent and hard work. Generous gifts from their partners served as additional reward for the perseverance, bright ideas, and courage with which they made it to the finals.
Diana Razueva, whose charisma and sincerity resonated with the audience, received the Audience Choice Award. Yana Smagina won the "BNTU Online Student of the Year" category, uniting the audience both in the auditorium and online. Ksenia Kalachinskaya deservedly won the title of "BNTU Student of the Year 2025." Her performances were distinguished by their creativity, depth of concept, and genuine artistry, embodying the very idea of versatility.
