Section III of the meeting of the China-Belarus University Association was held at BNTU

Секция III заседания Китайско-Белорусской ассоциации университетов прошла в БНТУ

Yesterday, on October 14, 2025, Section No. 2 “Intelligent Manufacturing” was organized at the Belarusian National Technical University as part of the III Meeting of the China-Belarus University Association.

The event was attended by leaders, professors, scientists, and lecturers from universities in Belarus and China. The co-chairs of the section were: from the Belarusian side – co-moderator, Rector of BNTU Sergey Kharitonchik, and from the Chinese side – Secretary of the CPC Committee of Inner Mongolia University of Technology Li Zhanfeng. The co-moderator from the Chinese side was Deputy Director of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering at Beijing Polytechnic Zhang Zhengyu.

– I am pleased to welcome everyone to the walls of BNTU. Our joint activities, which began in 2023, have laid a solid foundation for creating joint educational programs and numerous scientific studies. Our work over the past two years has shown its benefits. Belarusian and Chinese universities have many joint projects and have room to move forward. Therefore, today's meeting is a very important step on the path to progressing cooperation between China and Belarus. I am confident that the work of the section will be constructive and fruitful. I wish all participants productive work! – noted the rector of BNTU at the beginning of the event.

After the greeting, Sergey Kharitonchik gave the floor to Li Zhanfeng. The co-chair of the section from the Chinese side also wished the participants successful collaboration and thanked the BSTU staff for the warm reception.

In accordance with the program, the work of the section continued with discussions on current topics in modern engineering. For example, the rector of Brest State Technical University, Sergey Kasperovich, gave a presentation on "Experience and Prospects of Belarusian-Chinese Scientific and Educational Cooperation in the Development of Intelligent Manufacturing (Using Brest State Technical University as an Example)."

From the Belarusian National Technical University, the speakers were General Director of the Science and Technology Park “Polytechnic” Georgy Vershina, Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology Oleg Devoino, Professor of the Department of Powder Metallurgy, Welding and Materials Technology Fyodor Panteleenko, Professor of the Department of Technological Equipment Olga Yatskevich, Professor of the Department of Laser Engineering and Technology Viktor Kisel, Head of the Department of Materials Science in Mechanical Engineering Valery Konstantinov, Head of the Department of Experimental and Theoretical Physics Olga Reutskaya, and Head of the Research and Innovation Center for Automated Control Systems in Heat Power Engineering and Industry of the BNTU branch “RPI” Alexey Sednin.

Representatives of BNTU discussed topics such as innovations implemented in the field of mechanical engineering, the use of laser and virtual technologies, Chinese-Belarusian joint innovations, energy conservation, and much more.

Chinese colleagues, in turn, touched on issues related to the organization of the postgraduate system, intellectual equipment diagnostics, and prospects in the field of joint numerical control technologies.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants summarized the section, including plans for future closer cooperation between universities of the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China.

Thus, the event served as a platform for dialogue between representatives of the academic communities of the two countries, as well as contributing to the strengthening of cooperation between China and Belarus in the scientific and technical fields.
