Yesterday, on March 5, 2025, a meeting was held at Science and Technology Park of BNTU “Polytechnic” to consider the issues of training specialists in the field of metallurgy and foundry production. Lyubov Nevmerzhitskaya, Head of the Personnel Policy Department of the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Belarus, Sergey Pishov, Head of the Main Department of Vocational Education of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, Sergey Kharytonchyk, Rector of BNTU, Igor Ivanov, Dean of the Mechanical Technological Faculty, as well as teachers of the Belarusian National Technical University, representatives of the Gomel State Technical University named after P. O. Sukhoi (GSTU. P.O. Sukhoi), enterprises that order personnel.



The meeting discussed topical issues of targeted personnel training for metallurgical and foundry enterprises. Representatives of the Belarusian industry and education noted the importance of integrating theoretical knowledge with practical skills, which is a key aspect for the successful training of specialists in this field.
– As the country's first technical university, BNTU plays a key role in training specialists in various technical fields, including metallurgy. The University has proven himself well thanks to its scientific schools and many years of experience in cooperation with leading industrial enterprises in Belarus. This allows our graduates to work successfully in production. Today, in the context of rapidly changing requirements, our university focuses on new approaches and deep knowledge, which makes it an important center for training qualified personnel for industry,-- emphasized the rector of BNTU.


In addition, proposals for making changes to the curricula were announced during the event. Representatives of the companies that ordered personnel focused the attention of those present on the need for practical training of future specialists in real production conditions.
– The Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Education are actively working on personnel training, focusing on the needs of specific enterprises. Targeted training allows for the formation of highly qualified specialists who meet modern labor market requirements. Important events are meetings between those who order personnel and students, which help to find solutions to current issues and ensure that educational programs meet the needs of the industry," commented the head of the Main Department of Vocational Education.



Thus, the meeting became a platform for active discussion and proposals that will contribute to the development of the country's industrial and economic complex.
