On February 5, 2025, the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 49, which approved the State Investment Program for 2025. In total, this program provides for financing of 82 objects, 40 of which are planned to be put into operation.
In 2025, the program funds will be used to build an educational and laboratory building for the Energy Faculty of the Belarusian National Technical University. The facility is a 12-storey building with extensions in the form of a three-storey hotel, a four-storey editorial and publishing department, and a three-storey library. The latter was put into operation back in 2001.

Educational and laboratory building
The building is designed for 886 students. To organize the educational process in the educational and laboratory complex, the following are designed: department laboratories, teaching rooms, an assembly hall for 100 people, a lecture auditorium for 100 people, a conference hall for 60 people, administrative premises, computer center premises, classrooms, laboratory assistants and auditoriums.

Hotel
The hotel will include double and triple rooms, staff offices, an administrator's room and storage rooms. It can accommodate 36 guests at a time.

Editorial and Publishing Department
The Editorial and Publishing Department is a structure that provides a full cycle of preparation and release of printed products. It includes a paper preparation shop, a finished product and paper warehouse, color printing, electrography, copying and duplicating equipment, a computer section and administrative and utility rooms.

Currently, the construction site is 85.5% complete, which allows us to talk about its commissioning in December 2025.
This year, the work plan includes the completion of all construction and finishing works, as well as landscaping of the territory. It is planned to complete the installation of internal utility networks, finishing of the facade and interior spaces, install lighting equipment, etc. In addition, the building will be filled with new equipment and furniture.

The new building will become a platform for training highly qualified power engineers. In classrooms and research laboratories, students will undergo high-quality training, preparing for future work at enterprises of our country.
Thus, the educational and laboratory building of the energy faculty of BNTU will not only improve the quality of education, but will also become a center for innovative developments in the energy sector, contributing to the development of sustainable and efficient technologies for the future of Belarus.
