XI Belarusian-Chinese Innovation Forum “New Horizons - 2024” was held at BNTU

On November 21, 2024, the XI Belarusian-Chinese Youth Innovation Forum “New Horizons - 2024” was held at the BNTU Scientific and Technological Park “Polytechnik”. The event was attended by representatives of Belarusian and Chinese universities, as well as the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Belarus.

For reference: the forum has been held since 2014 to promote cooperation between students and young scientists of Belarus and China in the field of creation and commercialization of research and development results, mutual enrichment of national cultures. The organizers are the State Committee for Science and Technology of Belarus, Belarusian National Technical University, North-Eastern University, Confucius Institute of Science and Technology BNTU and Scientific and Technological Park BNTU “Polytechnik”.

Guests of honor were invited to the opening ceremony:

Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology of Belarus Tatyana Stolyarova;
Counselor for Science and Technology of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Belarus Yang Junke;
Director General of the Science and Technology Park of BNTU “Polytechnik” Georgy Vershina;
Director of the Confucius Institute of Science and Technology BNTU from the Chinese side Li Wensue;
Director of the Confucius Institute of Science and Technology BNTU from the Belarusian side Vladimir Kleenkov.

The guests of honor congratulated the participants on the start of the forum and wished them productive work and interesting acquaintances.

After the opening ceremony, five sections began their work: “Artificial Intelligence. Machine Learning. Information Technologies”, ”Surface Engineering. Mechanical Engineering. Material Science”, ”Urban Planning. Urbanism. Design. Ecology. Energy”, ‘Research and Innovations in Medicine, Biomechanics, Veterinary Science’, ”Cooperation between Belarus and China in the Humanitarian Sphere. Intercultural Communications. Economic Development”. More than 150 students, undergraduates, graduate students and young scientists presented their reports. The topics of the presentations covered various areas of human activity, including the analysis of cooperation between Belarus and China at the present stage, the use of innovations in improving the efficiency of information systems administration, the use of cell therapy in obstetrics, etc. The presentations were organized by the Belarusian and Chinese experts.
