A meeting with cosmonauts Oleg Novitsky and Marina Vasilevskaya took place at BNTU

В БНТУ прошла встреча с космонавтами Олегом Новицким и Мариной Василевской

Today, on October 17, the Belarusian National Technical University hosted a long-awaited meeting of students with cosmonauts Oleg Novitsky and Marina Vasilevskaya.

For reference: in 2024, an important event took place for sovereign Belarus: for the first time in its history, a citizen of the country, the Hero of Belarus Marina Vasilevskaya, flew into space. Oleg Novitsky, a native of Belarus, a Russian cosmonaut, a member of the cosmonaut detachment of the Gagarin Scientific Research Test Cosmonaut Training Center, Hero of the Russian Federation, Honorary Professor of BNTU, was appointed commander of the ship.

Before giving the floor to the guests, the present were greeted by the rector of BNTU Sergey Kharitonchik. He noted the uniqueness of this event.

Today you have the opportunity to talk, and, of course, you are given a unique opportunity to learn something that is probably not published in print and will not be heard anywhere else.

The meeting was held in an informal atmosphere, so Oleg Viktorovich and Marina Vitalievna immediately invited the guys to ask their questions. Thanks to the detailed answers of the guests, the students learned more not only about life in space, but also about other aspects of cosmonauts' lives.

It should also be noted that the flags of the University and the Republic of Belarus have returned to  BNTU. The attributes have not only been in space, but are also marked with the seal of the ISS and the date of docking. These exhibits will be sent to the BNTU Museum.

We thank Oleg Novitsky and Marina Vasilevskaya for the meeting and wish them  great professional success.
