The "UNESCO" department represents the interests of the engineering and technical profile. The department trains students in the following specialties:
"Energy Efficient Technologies and Energy Management" , qualification engineer-energy manager (full-time and part-time education);
"Low-temperature technology" , qualification mechanical engineer (full-time education).
The Department of Energy Saving and Renewable Energy Sources was established at the Belarusian State Polytechnic Academy (BSPA) in accordance with the agreement signed by the rector of the Academy M. I. Demchuk and the Director General of UNESCO F. Mayor on August 26 , 1996 . about the UNESCO Chair.
The main activities of the department.
The main goal of the department is to form and implement an integrated system of educational, scientific, informational and organizational measures for the training of engineering personnel for the Republic of Belarus, aimed at solving energy saving problems, including with the widespread use of renewable energy sources, and capable of solving these problems using advanced world experience.

Материальная база кафедры
Кафедра располагает тремя учебными лабораториями для проведения занятий со студентами и помещением для преподавателей. Учебные лаборатории оснащены оборудованием, позволяющим проводить занятия по дисциплинам: термодинамика, теплопередачи, прикладная гидрогазодинамика, энергосбережение, возобновляемые источники энергии. В настоящее время идет доукомплектование лабораторий учебными установками и развитие учебно-информационной компьютерной сети кафедры.
