BNTU swimming team - silver medalist of the Republican Universiade

From December 17 to 20, the Republican Universiade swimming competitions were held at the Palace of Water Sports in Brest. 246 athletes from 25 universities of Belarus performed in the competition.

According to the results of the competition:

1st place - BSUFK (772)

2nd place - BNTU (647)

3rd place - GSU Gomel (523)

The national team of BNTU was represented by 1 Master of Sports of the international class and 9 Masters of Sports, 5 of which were included in the national swimming team of the Republic of Belarus. As a result, in the individual championship our guys took 20 prizes out of 30 possible distances (eight first, seven second and five third):

Nikita Tsmyg (Management Technologies and Humanitarization Faculty), International Master of Sports - 50 meters on the back - 1st place (24.12), 100 meters on the back - 1st place (53.31), 200 m integrated swimming - 1st place (2:03.10);

Sergey Markov (Management Technologies and Humanitarization Faculty), Master of Sports - 400 m integrated swimming - 1 place (4: 27.63), 800 m freestyle - 1 place (8:21.16), 200 m freestyle - 3 place (1:51.06 );
Maxim Krepsky (Automotive and Tractor Faculty), Master of Sports - 50 m on the back - 2 place (25.18), 100 m on the back - 2 place (55.03), 200 m on the back - 1 place (2:02.86);

Bogdan Laputko (Automotive and Tractor Faculty), Master of Sports - 200 m butterfly - 1 place (1:58.75), 100 m butte - 2 place (53.83); 200 m freestyle - 4th place (1:51.45);

Pavel Minaev (Soligorsk), Master of Sports - 50 m freestyle - 1 place (23.15), 800 m freestyle - 5 place (9:10.49);

Arseny Borzhakov (Automotive and Tractor Faculty), Master of Sports - 100 m freestyle - 2 place (49.77); 400 m freestyle - 4th place (4:07.28);

Konstantin Kizin (Mechanical Engineering Faculty), Master of Sports - 50 m freestyle - 2 place (23.75), 50 m butt - 3 place (25.75);

Anton Remez (Management Technologies and Humanitarization Faculty), Master of Sports - 100 m freestyle - 3 place (50.37);

Maxim Shamrilo (Power Engineering Faculty), Master of Sports - 200 m on his back - 3rd place (2:08.45);

Arseniy Barzdov (graduate of the Management Technologies and Humanitarization Faculty, 2019), Master of Sports - 50 m breaststroke - 3 place (28.80), 100 m breaststroke - 4 place (1:02.02).

Relay swimming 4x100m combined - 2 place;

Relay swimming 4x100m freestyle - 2 place.

Nikita Tsmyg was recognized as the Best Universiade swimmer and was awarded a special prize “For the best technical skills”. The award was presented to the athlete by the first vice-rector of the university Georgy Aleksandrovich Vershina.
