New leadership of the student council was elected at BNTU

В БНТУ избрали новый руководящий состав студенческого совета

Today, on May 10, a general meeting of the student council was held at BNTU, within the framework of which a new leadership of the student council of the university was elected.

The meeting was attended by distinguished guests: the Rector of BNTU Sergey Kharitonchik, the Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Work Timur Matyushinets, and the Head of the Center for Ideological Work and Youth Affairs Irina Gud.

The agenda included three key issues: a report on the activities and results of the BNTU Student Council for the 2025/2026 academic year, the awarding of student council activists, and the election of a new leadership team.

 — Dear students, we have a traditional ceremony for changing generations. Every new leader, every new team brings its own style, its own contribution, and we see it, we notice it. I think you all know how valuable it is for me to interact with the student council. And I pay a lot of attention to your work, because I rely on it and I feel it in my work. Of course, everything needs to be improved, that's how life works, nothing is perfect right away, everything requires further improvement. You will come and understand that there is an endless amount of work to be done on this path. For my part, I can say that we will help with everything that is required of us, because we are working for you, — said Sergey Kharitonchik.

During the 2025/2026 academic year, the student council of BNTU has done a huge amount of work, which resulted in a diploma of the winner of the national competition for the best student council of the Republic of Belarus. According to tradition, at the meeting, the activists of the student council were awarded certificates and commendations of the student council, as well as commendations from the national youth center.

According to the results of the vote, Anna Yashchembskaya, a master's student from the Faculty of Automotive Engineering, was elected as the chairman of the BNTU Student Council. Roman Golub and Vladimir Shkoda, students from the Faculty of Mining and Environmental Engineering, were elected as vice-chairmen. Additionally, Angelina Makarchikova, a student from the Faculty of Architecture, was elected as the secretary of the BNTU Student Council, Vladislav Fedorov, a student from the Faculty of Instrument Engineering, was elected as the chairman of the Student Council, Vladislav Senchenko, a student from the Faculty of Mining and Environmental Engineering, was elected as the chairman of the Student Curatorial Service, and Elizaveta Khulup, a student from the Faculty of Instrument Engineering, was elected as the chairman of the Student Editorial Board.

– Today, I have the great honor of being a candidate for the position of Chairman of the Student Council of BNTU. Since my first year at the university, I have been actively involved in student life and have successfully combined my studies with community service. As a member of the Student Council of the Faculty of Automotive Engineering, I gained valuable experience in understanding the structure from within and eventually became the Chair of the Faculty Student Council. This journey has taught me the importance of responsibility, prioritization, and leading a team. For me, the BNTU Student Council is, first and foremost, a team of people united by common goals and interests. I am ready to make every effort to strengthen our team, organize effective work, and ensure that the BNTU Student Council achieves even greater results. Thank you for your trust and support," said Anna Yashchembskaya.

Congratulations to the new leadership team and thank you to all the activists for their hard work!
