The X International Documentary Film Festival "Eurasia.DOC" will take place from September 28 to October 2. The first location of the festival will be Smolensk (September 28-30), and then it will be held in Minsk from October 1 to 2.
For your information: The main goal of the festival is to create a community of like-minded documentary filmmakers who work on pressing issues from the recent past, present, and future. The event in Belarus is organized by the Public Association "Belarusian Union of Journalists".
The festival will feature an international competition of short documentary films by young authors called "Eurasia.DOC: 4 Minutes." Authors between the ages of 16 and 31 are invited to participate. Each film must be no longer than four minutes.
The organizers do not limit the topics of their works in order to understand what issues are of concern to the new generation of documentary filmmakers, journalists, and multimedia content creators.
The event will feature not only screenings, but also workshops on current topics in documentary filmmaking and journalism, roundtables, thematic discussions, press conferences, meetings with authors, experts, and public figures, as well as special events and exhibitions.
The event will provide an opportunity to improve one's skills in video shooting, editing, and production. All of this makes the festival not just a competition, but a center of attraction for the young Eurasian documentary community.
The winners of the youth competition will receive cash prizes, gifts from sponsors (including equipment for shooting and editing video content), diplomas, and special prizes from the festival.
Participation is free, and the organizers will cover travel expenses to and from the festival, as well as accommodation and meals.
