Today, on May 26, the centralized exam (CE) and centralized testing (CT) have started across the country. The Belarusian National Technical University has traditionally been one of the venues for the entrance exams.

On the first day, 2,277 applicants took the CEE at BNTU, with mathematics being the most popular subject, chosen by 789 people. The CEE numbers for other subjects are as follows:

In addition to the CE, the BNTU also held the CT, which was attended by 1,196 people. The statistics of the entrance test on the first day are as follows:

From the very morning, the Belarusian National Technical University was filled with the voices of applicants. They were actively recalling formulas, important constructions and definitions. The air was filled with excitement and confidence at the same time, someone was flipping through the notes for the last time on the bench, while others were steadily repeating the key algorithms in their heads.

Dmitry Mironov, Director of the Republican Institute of Knowledge Control, spoke about how Belarusian education infrastructure workers are building a direct dialogue with applicants using modern digital technologies, and why this has helped to reduce the flow of typical questions.
— It should be noted that the RIKS is not only an institute, but also a team that develops tests and examination materials. One of our main tasks is to provide methodological and organizational assistance to educational institutions and centralized examination centers. We also develop relevant methodological documents. However, we must understand that we need to communicate not only with educational institutions and the teaching community, but also with future applicants and graduates. This year, our main goal was to establish such communication. It was challenging to set goals, but we were successful in achieving this objective. Our Telegram channel gained 17,000 subscribers in just four months, and it is highly popular. Our TikTok videos are also highly viewed, as they are short and easy to understand. We even came up with a virtual methodologist, Svetlana, to make it more active, beautiful, and understandable. The latest video about what is and is not allowed, for example, has received 50,000 views in the first 4 hours. This shows that it is actually popular, interesting, and not boring, unlike a regular news report. We focus on communication between RICS and applicants and graduates. This really helps. We can already say that the work has been successful, as the number of similar requests has decreased significantly.
Dmitry Sergeevich also noted that the certificates for the centralized exam will be delivered to the issuing points no later than June 10.

Andrey Safonov, Deputy Chairman of the Admissions Committee and First Vice-Rector of the Belarusian National Technical University, explained how the admission process is organized at the university and why applicants and their parents should not worry.
— Today, we are all starting out in such an important, I would say, state issue — the organization of the centralized exam and centralized testing. I can say that the Belarusian National Technical University is the largest center for conducting these exams in the Republic of Belarus. Over 10,500 participants have registered for the exams at the Belarusian National Technical University over the past four days. Today, there are 3,500 people participating in the centralized exam and centralized testing. We have 4 buildings involved in this, and the organizing committee for these events has more than 400 people. All necessary comfortable conditions have been created for the stay and holding of this event. It is not the first year that we have been organizing this event, and it is not for nothing that I said that we are leaders qualitatively and quantitatively in this matter, so we conducted the centralized rehearsal exam very smoothly and accurately, everything is under control. And I think, as always, BNTU will show the class and the applicants and their parents will not have any questions.

Excitement, concentration, and hope can be read on the faces of the participants in the entrance exams. Stanislav shared his expectations and approach to choosing his future specialty.
— Right now, I'm just calm, and I'm focused on passing the exam. Today, I'm taking the math exam, and I believe I have a good understanding of it, which is essential for my university application. I can't say for sure where I'm going to apply at this moment. I'll make a decision once I receive the results of the entrance exams." I prepared for the entrance exams by taking training courses, as well as studying on my own and with the help of my teachers at school. I hope that I will pass well.

The fear of a serious test and the belief in one's own abilities are common companions for every applicant during the Central Examinations and the Central Tests. Kristina shared how her long journey of preparation turned into a solid confidence.
— I'm really nervous, but I think I'll do well, and I think all the kids here will do well, and we'll be able to handle everything. I'm taking the math exam today. I really like math. It's been a lot of work, but I think it's worth it. I'm confident that I'll get the score I need to pass.

Ulyana, in turn, shared how she was preparing for the exams and what she sees herself as in the future.
— I am experiencing a little fear and anxiety now, but I am sure that everything will be fine and I will pass everything with flying colors. I am taking the history of Belarus in the context of world history. First of all, I really like this subject, and secondly, I need it to enter the university for the specialty I have chosen. I plan to enter the pedagogical university as a psychologist. I prepared for the exams with a tutor and attended courses. Our teacher at school also helped us a lot with our preparation. I believe that I am quite capable.

The first day of the CEE and CTS showed that the applicants are serious and responsible. New challenges lie ahead: on Friday, May 29, BNTU will once again open its doors to applicants who are ready to demonstrate their knowledge. We wish all applicants a successful test, confidence in their abilities, and high scores. BNTU is waiting for its future students!
