BNTU hosted the Republican Student Olympiad in the specialty "customs business"

Республиканская олимпиада по таможенному делу прошла в БНТУ

Today, on April 7, the Republican Student Olympiad in the specialty "customs business" was held at the Belarusian National Technical University. The event took place within the framework of the International Youth Forum "Creativity and Innovation — 2026". Students from three universities competed for the title of the best: BNTU, Belarusian State University of Transport (BelGUT) and Brest State Technical University (BrSTU).

Before the start of the tests, the participants were greeted by Gennady Brovka, Dean of the Faculty of Management Technologies and Humanitarianization. He stressed that the Olympics is not just a competition, but an opportunity to test yourself, combine theory with practice and get a boost for future professional activity.

Each of the participants is a legitimate representative of their university and a potential winner of today's Olympiad. We are glad to welcome you as our guests. We hope that you will be able not only to participate in the business part of our program, but also to enjoy your stay in our city. We wish you victories and an interesting pastime. The Olympiad is the stage that allows you to synthesize your knowledge and put it into practice. I am sure it will be useful for you in your future activities.

The work of the students was evaluated by reputable experts, including Inna Gromyko, Professor of the Department of Customs Affairs at the State Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel of the Customs Authorities of the Republic of Belarus, Olga Labkovich, Acting Head of the Department of Customs Affairs at BNTU, Anton Petrovich-Rudakovsky, Associate Professor at BelGUT, and Elena Sozanova, Senior inspector of the Department of Customs Control at the Minsk Regional Customs.

The participants of the Olympiad answered questions related to the regulatory and legal regulation of customs activities, the procedure for declaring goods, classification according to the Customs Code of the EAEU, customs control and risk management. The guys also solved practical cases. All the tasks required not only theoretical knowledge, but also logical thinking and attentiveness, these qualities are necessary for a future customs specialist.
