From February 23 to 27, 2026, the Belarusian National Technical University hosted the youth forum "BNTU Student Shift." First-year students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FME) participated in the event and represented the faculty with distinction.

The five days packed an incredible number of events and activities, flying by in the blink of an eye. For the first-year students, this time was a true immersion into university life: they not only learned about the activities of youth organizations and student associations in detail but also gained invaluable experience from invited speakers. The forum culminated in intensive work on their own ideas, during which the participants were able to develop and present their first serious projects.

The first-year students received a wealth of positive emotions from the "Student Shift" and were deeply impressed.

"I'm absolutely thrilled to be a part of it! Our team is made up of incredibly talented students; working with them was a true pleasure and a joy." A special thank you to the mentors: they were always there, supporting me, offering advice, and guiding me in the right direction. And, of course, I can't help but brag: our team won! It was an incredible experience," noted Semyon Dmitriev.

"The five days flew by in the blink of an eye. The BNTU Student Shift was a powerful boost of energy, new friends, and valuable knowledge. I really enjoyed working on the projects: our team was truly amazing—talented and close-knit. The mentors were simply amazing, always there and helping," shared Timofey Bulash.

"The BNTU Student Shift gave me more than just excitement. It helped me confirm that I'd gotten into the right place." While we were listening to the speakers, interacting with youth organizations, and working on the project, I caught myself thinking that BNTU gives you the opportunity to prove yourself in any field," Gleb Guliyev commented.

"This 'Smena' was so great! The five days flew by. We accomplished so much: meeting youth organizations, listening to great speakers, and coming up with our own project. Our team came together pretty quickly. All the students are so different, yet so talented. It was easy and fun to work with them," commented Varvara Krupenko.

Congratulations to the first-year students on their successful start to active student life, and we wish them an equally exciting journey through their studies at the International Student Faculty!
