From October 7 to 10, 2025, the Belarusian Energy and Environmental Forum (ENERGY EXPO) was held at the Football Arena. The Belarusian National Technical University actively participated in both the forum's exhibition and specialized sessions.
For reference: ENERGY EXPO has been held since 1995, attracting leading Belarusian and international manufacturers of equipment, technologies, and materials. It is one of the largest exhibitions in the EAEU. In 2024, over 200 enterprises and organizations presented their products. These included major Belarusian enterprises and foreign companies interested in promoting their products on the Belarusian market.
This year, energy sector companies have showcased their latest projects and cutting-edge developments. The forum provided an opportunity for business meetings, signing new agreements and contracts. The business program included roundtables, panel discussions, and open debates on current issues in the development of the fuel and energy sector and its impact on economic growth.
During the forum's opening ceremony, Energy Minister Denis Moroz noted the importance of ENERGY EXPO as a platform for assessing achievements and formulating new objectives for the energy sector.
– "ENERGY EXPO" is being held in the year that marks the end of the five-year plan. It's clear that at this forum, we will look at what the Belarusian energy sector has achieved over the past years. We will also formulate the key messages and challenges facing the energy system in the coming period, – the minister emphasized.
The Belarusian National Technical University was represented at the forum by its energy and automobile and tractor faculties. Thanks to their presence, guests could learn about the faculties' activities, as well as the latest innovative developments created by the university's students and faculty.
The forum's program was packed with events, and Polytechnic University actively participated in it. For example, the 5th Scientific and Practical Conference "Training and Advanced Training of Engineering Personnel" was held on October 9. Evgeny Ponomarenko, Dean of the Faculty of Energy, presented a report on "Cooperation between BNTU and the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Belarus in Training Personnel for the Energy Industry."
