Yesterday, June 17, 2025, a seminar on inventive and patent-licensing activities was held at the Research Institute of Physical and Chemical Problems of the Belarusian State University (RIPCP BSU). The leading engineer for patent and invention work at the Belarusian National Technical University, Liliya Tumashik, represented Polytechnic University and took part in the seminar.
For reference: the event was organized by the Ministry of Education for employees of higher education institutions, scientific organizations and science and technology parks.
One of the key speakers was the head of the scientific and innovation department of the Research Institute of Physical and Chemical Problems of the Belarusian State University, PhD in Chemistry Yuri Nechepurenko. In his presentation "Analysis of patent-licensing activities in organizations of the Ministry of Education", he presented data on applications submitted and patents received under national and regional (Eurasian) procedures.
According to the presented data, from 1995 to January 1, 2025, the Belarusian National Technical University is the leader in the number of patents received in both the national and regional (Eurasian) procedures. Under the national procedure, BNTU received 1109 patents, and under the regional (Eurasian) procedure - 76 (83 including branches).
The seminar emphasized the importance and effectiveness of patent and licensing work at BNTU, and confirmed its leading position in this area.
