Yesterday, January 15, 2025, a master's degree ceremony was held in the main building of the Belarusian National Technical University for citizens of the People's Republic of China at the Faculty of Engineering and Pedagogy (FEP).

The comprehensive strategic partnership between Belarus and China is becoming more intense every year and demonstrates a positive development trend. The dynamic development of Belarusian-Chinese political, trade and economic ties is primarily due to the common principles of domestic and foreign policy, and the convergence of views on the most important issues on the global agenda. Developing the strategic direction of Belarus' foreign policy – the development of relations with China, BNTU has organized and implemented a system of training Chinese citizens in general, higher, special and advanced education programs, including English language education.
In total, more than 1,200 Chinese citizens are currently studying at BNTU at all levels of education. In 2025, more than 800 highly qualified specialists will be trained for the needs of China's industry and national economy. These are good numbers, but this is far from the limit for BNTU. In 2025, the Faculty of International Cooperation (FIS) plans to attract at least 900 Chinese citizens to study at BNTU in scarce and sought-after specialties in the economies of the two countries.

In 2025, 54 foreign students of FEP received a master's degree in the specialty "scientific and pedagogical activity" (specialization "pedagogy of professional education"). They have been teaching since March 2024, and the entire program has been taught in English.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the university, who also acted as scientific supervisors of undergraduates. Among them are Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Yuri Nikolaychik, Vice-Rector for Research Ksenia Yakushenko, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Pedagogy Alexey Drobysh, Head of the Department of Vocational Training and Pedagogy Anna Romanova, Head of the Department of Marketing Irina Shamardina, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Vocational Training and Pedagogy Tatiana Kaminskaya.

Each of the representatives made a speech for those present, gave parting words and said kind words to the graduates.
– I hope that the master's degree you are receiving will help you in your personal growth and in achieving success. Don't forget that BNTU is your home university. I hope that some of you will express a desire to continue your postgraduate studies. We will be glad to welcome you," said Yuri Nikolaychik.

– I know how hard it was for you, for your parents, to give you such a foundation for a future life. I really hope that the time spent at BNTU will be remembered by you as the best in your life," Ksenia Yakushenko emphasized.

– Dear graduates! I cordially congratulate you on completing a significant milestone in your life obtaining your master's degrees. I hope our diploma will help you become successful managers and great bosses. In a good way! Thank you for choosing us," Alexey Drobysh said.

– Congratulations to every graduate! You have all done a great job and got to know not only BNTU, your teachers, but also the Republic of Belarus and the culture of our country," Irina Shamardina congratulated the graduates.

After the undergraduates accepted congratulations from each of the speakers, the most important and solemn part began – the awarding of diplomas. It was a very exciting and special day for each graduate, but despite all the worries, the students actively supported each other with applause.

– You've all been through a lot: exams, tests, master's degree defense. I want everyone to remember that no matter who you are, who you work with, or where you live, never forget to develop," Master's student Chen Jingpei congratulated his colleagues.

The University is proud of its graduates and believes that their talent will help them achieve high results in their careers and lives. Congratulations!
