Golden hat-trick: Anton Smolsky's bright start to the year
In early 2024, Anton Smolsky, a student of the instrument-making faculty, scored a gold hat-trick at the home stage of the Commonwealth Cup. Despite all the difficulties that arose during the race, the athlete won.
The achievements of the Belarusian biathlete did not end there and soon he was awaited by: victory in the 10 km sprint race as part of the second stage of the Alfa-Bank Russian Cup - 2024/25, victory in the sprint race of the first stage of the Commonwealth Cup in Krasnoyarsk and victory in the overall standings of the Commonwealth Cup.

PolyQuest-2024
The organizer of "PolyQuest" is the BNTU Student Council and the Center for Ideological and Educational Work. Completing tasks are based not only on logic and intelligence, but also on the athletic skills of first-year students. In 2024, the places among the teams were distributed as follows:

Battle of the Houses – 2024
One of the largest sports events of the Polytechnic University is the "Battle of Faculties", where participants in 2024 had to compete in six disciplines: mini-football, GTO standards, volleyball, tug-of-war, streetball and swimming.

Polytechnic University Team Cup – 2024
The Polytechnic University Squad Cup in 2024 was held in three stages: sports, including an obstacle course of skipping, short-distance jumps and a task on a "boat", intellectual, consisting of 30 questions regarding the Criminal and Administrative Codes, medical training and more, and a ceremonial awards ceremony, where the winning teams were nominated.

From year to year, the event demonstrates the athletic training and erudition of the members of the volunteer squad, contributes to the qualitative development of the student law enforcement movement.

BNTU's victory at the Republican Universiade of the 2023/24 academic year
In the 2023/24 academic year, BNTU athletes brought 17 prize places to the Polytechnic and took first place in the overall standings among 49 universities in Belarus.
For reference: The Republican Universiade is an annual event in which teams from various universities in the country compete in 27 kinds of sports.
The high result in all tests is the merit of the Polytechnic students, which testifies to the excellent training of athletes at the university.

BNTU graduate Evgeny Tikhontsov is a bronze medalist at the Paris Olympic Games
In 2024, as part of the national team of the Republic of Belarus, a graduate of the sports and technical faculty, Evgeny Tikhontsov, became a bronze medalist in weightlifting competitions at the Olympic Games in Paris, lifting a total of 402 kg. Earlier that year, the young man became the European champion with a result of 398 kg.

BNTU students awarded the title of "Master of Sports of the Republic of Belarus"
The Belarusian Basketball Association awarded two BNTU students, Artem Brashko and Aleksey Shevchenko, the title of Master of Sports of the Republic of Belarus for their high sporting achievements. The Belarusian Basketball Federation reported this in a letter of thanks to BNTU Rector Sergey Kharitonchik.

The most dynamically developing sports event of the Polytechnic University is the STREETBALL CUP, which was successfully held in Borisovsky tract in 2024.

Streetball is just beginning to spread within the walls of BNTU, the first sports games in this sport were in 2023. However, this direction is increasingly of interest to young guys, and they actively take part in competitions.
