Yesterday, September 19, the first business forum for Hi-day students from StartUp Space BNTU was held in the Scientific and Technological Park of BNTU "Polytechnic". We are going to tell you how it was organized.
For reference: StartUp Space BNTU is a new community whose goal is to create a youth entrepreneurial community and startup ecosystem at the university.

The first rule of implementing any idea is to start. However, how to start alone? Where to find like-minded people? How to conduct a qualitative analysis of your project? The ideological inspirers and organizers of StartUp Space BNTU, Nikita Chivel and Alexey Kapitanov, gave answers to each of these questions to the forum participants.

After their speech, the guys answered questions from those present and gave the floor to the invited speakers. The first to speak was the owner of the private unitary enterprise “Platina Group” (chain of jewelry stores “Diamante”, “7 Karat”, “Zolotov”) Alexey Koryagin.

Business is not easy, and it is quite difficult even for professionals to work without errors. Nevertheless, every mistake is a valuable experience, which the speaker passed on to the younger generation.
So, the top 3 principles of doing business from Alexey Koryagin, which will save budding entrepreneurs from screw-ups (failures) are:

Summing up his speech, Alexey formed a principle of one hundred percent responsibility for the participants, which sounds like this:
– I am responsible for everything that happens to me. External conditions do not determine the state of affairs and are not an excuse for “sitting still.” If I want to develop, I must be prepared to take responsibility for every action.

Next, Anatoly Nedashkovsky, head of “Slivki.by” CJSC, came to the microphone. From the speaker, forum participants learned about the history of the creation of the famous “Slivki.by”, about the first formats and about the most expensive “fuck up”, which cost the company $70,000.

Since any project cannot do without information support at the start, Anatoly shared paid and free channels for promoting future projects:

When the block of speeches was over, the organizers invited the forum participants to a coffee break, where the guys were able to have a closer conversation with one of the speakers. (Unfortunately, Alexey had to leave the event after his speech due to a busy schedule.)

We did not miss the opportunity and decided to ask Anatoly Nedashkovsky about his impressions of the event.
– The impressions from the event are only positive, and I am glad if I could help the guys and give some impetus to further development. My goal was to offer participants not specific decisions, but to show and tell how to make these decisions, which is much more valuable. I will be glad to return to StartUp Space BNTU as a speaker for the long-term program.

To make the acquired knowledge work, they need to be consolidated in practice. Guided by this principle, the organizers prepared a business game for the participants, the essence of which was to come up with a startup from two given words. The guys quickly divided into teams and began working on their projects.

The ideas were different, and each was distinguished by its originality. Nevertheless, BizConnect was recognized as the most promising project. Its authors proposed creating a unified social network for businessmen of all sizes to exchange knowledge and search for business partners and investors.

To summarize, the following main conclusions can be drawn:

We also remind you that StartUp Space BNTU is working on a long-term project support program. Announcements of upcoming events will appear on bntu_space social networks very soon, so subscribe to Instagram and Telegram right now to keep abreast of all community news.
