Department : Vacuum and compressor technology

University graduates majoring in 6-05-0714-06 "Equipment and technologies for vacuum, compressor and low-temperature technology" receive the qualification of "engineer", which allows them to work in the future as a research engineer, mechanical engineer, engineer for the introduction of new equipment and technologies. The field of activity of graduates covers the design, adjustment, operation and repair of vacuum and compressor equipment, as well as the development and implementation of technological processes in accordance with the functional purpose of this equipment. After completing the first stage of education, graduates can continue their education in a master's program in the specialty 7-06-0714-02 "Innovative technologies in mechanical engineering" and in postgraduate studies in the specialty "Technology and equipment for mechanical and physical and technical processing"

The staff of the department is highly qualified specialists engaged in scientific research in the field of machine-building production, the development of vacuum technologies for hardening materials processing and the design of vacuum and compressor equipment. This allows the department to actively work to improve the methods of teaching special disciplines. To ensure the conduct of classes at a high scientific and methodological level, the department actively attracts specialists from leading research centers and industrial enterprises of the Republic of Belarus to give lectures and consult diploma projects. Throughout its work, the department "Vacuum and Compressor Technology" is among the top five according to the results of the annual review of the competition among all the graduating departments of the university.

Nonresident students of the 1st year are provided with a hostel.
