The structure of the Capital Construction Department includes:
- management administration;
- Pre-production, Procurement and Assembly Department;
- production and technical department and technical supervision.
The main objectives of the capital construction management are:
- strengthening the material and technical base of BNTU to create more favorable conditions for students' education, the work of faculty and support staff in academic buildings;
- creation of decent and comfortable living conditions for students in dormitories.
The main tasks of the capital construction Department are:
- construction of new facilities, reconstruction, restoration, modernization and overhaul of buildings, structures and other facilities of the BNTU in compliance with the regulations of the legislation of the Republic of Belarus;
- organization of commissioning of completed facilities;
- ensuring efficient use of capital investments, reducing the volume of construction in progress.
The BNTU Capital Construction Department, together with the General Contracting Organizations of Minskpromstroy OJSC and OIKODOMOS LLC, took an active part in the republican clean-up day 2025, which was held at two construction sites.: "Educational and Laboratory building of the Faculty of Energy of the Belarusian National Technical University, Minsk (adjustment) (including design and survey work)" and "Modernization of the building specialized for education and (or) upbringing at the address: Minsk, Franziska Skaryna str., 25/1".
The most significant objects of capital construction management, which are actively being worked on, are:
- "Major renovation and modernization of the dormitory building at 61 Nezavisimosti Ave. in Minsk";
- "Major repairs and modernization of a part of the BNTU dormitory building at 3 Doroshevich St. in Minsk (tyra)".
- "Reconstruction of a specialized catering building at 47 Surganova St., Building 1 for an innovation and production center for the production of medical devices."
The completion of work on the above-mentioned facilities and, in particular, the commissioning of facilities with excess unfinished construction will create new academic spaces that will meet modern quality standards, increase the prestige of the university in Belarus, raise the BNTU rating in the global ranking of educational institutions and decorate the streets of Minsk.
The most important facility, which was commissioned at the end of 2022, is the "Special Design and Technology Bureau with pilot production of the Belarusian National Technical University on F. Skaryna St. in Minsk. Correction. II start–up complex - production building", reconstructed to accommodate the educational and laboratory building of the educational institution "National Children's Technopark". At the moment, classes for gifted children and youth are actively being held under a special program, which is being implemented in priority areas of scientific activity for the republic.
In May 2023, the facility was put into operation: "Major repairs with modernization of the BNTU dormitory complex at 47 Surganova St., Minsk."
At the end of August 2023, the following facilities were put into operation: "Modernization of educational buildings at Yakub Kolas str., 14, 24, bldg. 1 regarding the installation of an access control system",
"Major repairs and modernization of engineering networks with the installation of an access control and management system (ACS) on a land plot with cadastral number 500000000008004834 in Minsk";
In January 2024, the following facilities were put into operation:
- "Major repairs regarding the replacement of the elevator in the dormitory No. 1 of the BNTU at 37 Vostochnaya St. in Minsk";
- "Replacement of three elevators in the building of the BNTU dormitory No. 13 at 47 Surganova str., bldg.5 in Minsk";
- "Major renovation of the dormitory building at 148/3 Nezavisimosti Ave., Minsk";
- At the end of May 2024, the facility will undergo major repairs of bathroom facilities
(1-4 floors) in the building of the educational building No. 4 on pr. Independence 59" was put into operation. 
- At the end of August 2024, the facility "Major repairs of the building specialized for education and (or) upbringing at the address: 12/2 Yakub Kolas str., Minsk" was commissioned.
- In June 2025, the facility "Modernization of the building specialized for education and (or) upbringing at the address: Minsk, Franziska Skaryna str., 25/1";
At the end of December 2025, the following facilities were commissioned:
- "Modernization of the building specialized for education and (or) upbringing at the address: Minsk, Franziska Skaryna str., 25/1".

The most significant facility, which was commissioned in January 2026, is:
- "Educational and Laboratory building of the Faculty of Energy of the Belarusian National Technical University, Minsk (adjustment) (including design and survey work)";

The facilities that will begin work in 2025 are:
- "Modernization of the specialized building for education and (or) upbringing at the address: Minsk, B. Khmelnitsky St., 9";
