December 12, 2019, a fifth-year student of the Faculty of Transport Communications of the specialty 1-70 03 01 Automobile Roads met with Stanislav Mikhailovich Klibashev, head of the Information Technologies Department of RUE “Beldotsentr” (graduate of our faculty in 1999). Theme of the meeting - "Information systems in the road sector used in management."
At the meeting, students got acquainted with the software systems that make up the unified corporate information system of the road sector. It includes a geographic information system, road management, human resources management, electronic document management, information analytical systems, electronic statistical reporting, accounting automation.
The information center of the road sector allows providing road workers with up-to-date information about the roads and structures on them, their parameters, characteristics, and operating conditions. Web applications can be used anywhere at any time of the day, which allows users to get operational access to information of interest to them.
Students of road faculty were interested in the practical side of using software products in road organizations, the ability to monitoring, analyzing and managing information; smart transport systems and their practical application, as well as the interaction of road users with relevant databases aroused particular interest.
It should be noted that during the meeting Stanislav Mikhailovich spoke about the structure and features of the RUE “Beldorcentr”, where graduates of the faculty of transport communications work successfully, and about job opportunities after graduation.
Students asked many questions that interested them. Not a single question was left without attention. The meeting was really informative.
