BNTU kettlebell athletes won medals at the White Nights tournament

Гиревики БНТУ завоевали медали на турнире «Белые ночи»

International kettlebell competitions White Nights were held in St. Petersburg from April 30 to May 4. As part of the national team of the Republic of Belarus, three students of the Belarusian National Technical University performed with dignity. The honor of the country and the university was defended by first-year student of the Military-Technical Faculty Gleb Mishukov, as well as second-year students of the Faculty of Automotive Engineering Denis Komar and the Faculty of Instrument Engineering Andrey Savich.

This year, the competition became the largest in its history, bringing together more than 450 athletes from 14 countries: Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, China, France, Austria, Poland, India, Indonesia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, and Uzbekistan.

Over the course of three days, the athletes demonstrated their strength and endurance in exercises with 24-kilogram kettlebells. The winners were determined in three disciplines: long-cycle push, classic push, and snatch. As a result of a fierce competition, the representatives of BNTU achieved outstanding results in their respective weight categories.

For example, Gleb Mishukov won three silver medals, placing second in all three competitive disciplines. Denis Komar demonstrated absolute superiority, winning two gold medals in the snatch and long-cycle clean and jerk. Andrey Savich also made a significant contribution to the team's success, winning gold in the classic clean and jerk, silver in the relay, and bronze in the long-cycle clean and jerk.

Thanks to the outstanding performance of these athletes, the Belarusian team secured an honorable second place in the team competition. We congratulate the students and their coach, Petr Fedorenko, on their outstanding performance on the international stage. We wish you to keep moving forward and achieve new victories!
