"Don't let yourself be deceived": A district inspector told FTUG students about cybercrime and drug trafficking

«Не дай себя обмануть». Правоохранитель поговорил со студентами ФТУГ о киберпреступности и незаконном обороте наркотиков

On Thursday, April 30, the Faculty of Management Technologies and Humanitarization hosted a dialogue platform with Nikita Bogatov, a district inspector of the Youth Affairs Inspectorate of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Sovetsky District Administration of Minsk. At the dialogue platform, the participants discussed two important issues: cybercrime and drug trafficking.

Nikita Bogatov touched upon the issue of providing his bank payment data to third parties, a phenomenon that has been dubbed "droperism" among young people.

During his speech, the inspector also told how scammers deceive iPhone users and extort money.

– You may receive a link that purports to be an update for your operating system. Once you download this link, your mobile phone becomes a brick. Criminals then contact you via messaging apps, claiming that your phone has been blocked and that you need to transfer a certain amount of money to a specific account, said the speaker.

In addition, Nikita Bogatov emphasized the importance of health and public order. He spoke clearly about drugs: "This is a terrible addiction that leads to ruined lives and long prison sentences for possession, use, and sale."

At the end of his speech, the inspector made an important request to the audience:

"I hope that you will share the information you have heard here with your family and friends to warn them."

At the end of the meeting, Nikita Ivanovich showed videos prepared by the Department of Internal Affairs on the topics discussed. We would like to thank the speaker for a meaningful conversation and useful information for young people.
