The Constitution in Detail: A Meeting with a Member of the House of Representatives at the FMEE

Конституция в деталях: встреча с депутатом Палаты представителей на ФГДИЭ

On April 8, the Faculty of Mining and Environmental Engineering (FMEE) hosted a dialogue platform that allowed students and staff to engage with the significance of our country's most important document – the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus—as the legal foundation for the standard of living and well-being of future workers in the mineral resources sector. Svetlana Senko, a member of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and Deputy Chair of the Standing Committee on Labor and Social Issues, attended the meeting.

In her speech, Svetlana Vladimirovna covered a range of issues related to current socioeconomic and political development in Belarus, focusing on regional development. This is particularly relevant for the Faculty's representatives, most of whom are regional representatives. Their responsibilities will include developing the republic's mineral resource base.

Svetlana Vladimirovna shared her observations and impressions of the work of the Petrikov Mine Administration OJSC "Belaruskali".

The FMEE's representatives included students, young professionals, Dean Andrei Kologrivko, Deputy Dean for Ideological and Educational Work Elizaveta Tishkovskaya, Head of the Mining Machinery Department Vladimir Boriseyko, and Senior Lecturer of the Mining Department Vladimir Stasevich.

The dialogue was held in a constructive atmosphere, allowing future mining engineers and ecologists to learn firsthand about legislative initiatives and the legal framework of the Belarusian state and its regions. Such meetings provide an opportunity to enhance the ethics and culture of engineering communication, further motivate students to pursue knowledge, and help staff improve the quality of training for future mining engineers.
