Astana, April 1, 2026. The 7th International Machinery and Metalworking Exhibition "Kazakhstan Machinery Fair" officially opened its doors at the Expo Astana venue. Bringing together professionals from the engineering, metalworking, and welding technology sectors, the large‑scale event once again reaffirmed its status as the region’s premier industry dialogue platform.
The opening ceremony was attended by Yersaiyn Nagaspayev, Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Meiram Pshembayev, Chairman of the Board of the Union of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan; and Kuanysh Kanapyanov, Executive Director of Astana Expo. The presence of these key industry leaders underscored the exhibition’s role as an effective platform for advancing the country’s machine‑building sector, strengthening international cooperation, expanding industrial partnerships, and promoting cutting‑edge technological solutions.

This year, about 300 companies present their developments and equipment. The geography of participants covers almost the entire range of industrial leaders: Austria, Belarus, Brazil, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Spain, Kazakhstan, China, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Russia, the USA, Turkey, France, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, the Republic of Korea and Japan.
Metalworking equipment has traditionally been one of the key and most spectacular segments of the exposition. In today’s economy, the precision, productivity, and technological reliability of machine tools directly determine the competitiveness of finished products.
The exhibition covers the entire cycle of the manufacturing industry. Visitors and prospective buyers are exploring exhibits across the following thematic sections:
– metalworking equipment;
– forging and pressing equipment;
– foundry equipment;
– measuring machines, instruments, and tools;
– metal‑cutting tools and tooling;

The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus is showcasing over 20 innovative developments at the exhibition. The collective stand of the Ministry of Education (Stand F14), organized by the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU), features innovations from BNTU (including its Science and Technology Park "Polytechnic"), Belarusian State University, Pavel Sukhoi Gomel State Technical University, and Yanka Kupala Grodno State University.
The exhibition has long served as a venue for strengthening interstate ties. Today, the stand of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus was visited by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aleksey Bogdanov.
The centerpiece of the exhibition’s business program was the 13th Forum of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan, which brought together heads of leading industrial enterprises, representatives of government agencies, development institutions, and business associations. The forum serves as a crucial mechanism for shaping strategic decisions, discussing government support measures, and forging direct co‑operation ties – all essential for further developing Kazakhstan’s industrial potential.
Kazakhstan Machinery Fair 2026 will run for several days, offering a unique opportunity for experience exchange, finding reliable partners, and embracing innovations that set the course for the engineering industry for years to come.
