On March 11, the Faculty of Management Technologies and Humanitarization held a dialogue platform on youth crime prevention. The speaker was Nikita Bogatov, a district inspector with the Youth Affairs Inspectorate of the Sovietsky District Police Department in Minsk.
Nikita Ivanovich thoroughly briefed the students on measures to combat cybercrime and the legal penalties for participation in extremist movements. He also addressed smoking and drinking in public places, as well as the involvement of minors in criminal activity.
The topic of drugs was also addressed. Nikita Ivanovich provided real-life examples of juvenile detentions, as well as how they are recruited into criminal groups via the internet. Following the discussion, a film featuring real-life stories of victims and detainees on the topics discussed was shown. Following the meeting, the students were given the opportunity to ask any questions they might have.
