A series of meetings on the spiritual and moral education of youth was held in the dormitories of the Belarusian National Technical University. From March 2 to March 9, Priest Sergius Falei of the St. Elisabeth Convent addressed students residing in dormitories No. 3, 6, 8, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, and 19. The main goal of the meetings was to promote the spiritual development of students, helping them to reflect on traditional values and their role in modern life.
The meetings were conducted as confidential conversations. The central topic of discussion was Great Lent, which Sergius Falei described as a time of "spiritual spring."
— Calendar spring symbolically speaks of spiritual spring, because now is such a period in the church — Great Lent. There are two concepts of fasting: fasting of the body and fasting of the soul. The first is necessary so that the body becomes more obedient. The fast of the soul is connected with our feelings; it is the sphere of our relationships, — the priest addressed the students.
A trusting atmosphere prevailed at the meetings, which elicited a lively response from the audience. Such dialogues became an opportunity for the young people to reflect on important matters and take a fresh look at familiar things.
